But isn't the west more difficult to win than the east.

Sure, but UT is terrible and doesn't get to play themselves... so it doesn't affect their SOS as much... they also play bama and a solid ole miss team on the road.

"Who does Bama play before the IB?"

Classic example of how the obsession is always there.

They are both pretty fricking tough. Auburn has October that you'd want to forget, sheesh

In the pre-season, Oct looks tough. But I think once the games are actually played, it will not look as bad. AU schedule sets up well with open dates, Thursday Game, and easy opponents prior to big games. The USC game will be the key.

If you have to rank the Top 6 toughest games for each it would go something like this:

Auburn
1. @ Alabama
2. LSU
3. South Carolina
4. @ UGA
5. Texas A&M
6. @ Ole Miss

Tennessee
1. Alabama
2. @ Oklahoma
3. @ South Carolina
4. @ UGA
5. @ Ole Miss
6. Mizzou

Throw out the three cupcakes on each side and the two games where we both go to Ole Miss and UGA and it leaves, in order of difficulty...

More difficult for each side bolded

AU: UT:

@bama bama
LSU @OU
USC @USC
@MSU push Florida
Texas A&M Mizzou
@KSU @Vandy
Arkansas Kentucky

Not sure how you could argue UT's is more difficult unless you think LSU sucks or Florida is magically going to become great again.

I'd def rather have UT's schedule as an SEC team because our conference schedule is unquestionably harder.

Really they are both absurd though.
