Alabama gave up the same amount of points to an FCS team.
We had a ton of players in the 2 deep not even play against GS. I think our top 3 DTs were either hurt or suspended. But seriously, WVU is severely overrated.

And to be clear this ISN'T an excuse.

I'd be scared too if it meant going and playing all of Oregon's thugs in their stadium.

LIKE OMG Y'ALL, LSU PLAYED THE HARDEST OOC SCHEDULE EVAR LAST YEAR!
A pac 12 team with a high-powered offense that struggled to score on AU's pitiful defense the year before AND WEST frickING VIRGINIA - UNSTOPPABLE.
You guys need to shut the frick up about this. Bama's defense was still way ahead of LSU's even when only including conference games.

I'm not. I'm certain Saban doesn't consider the fact that Oregon is full of thugs. I want to schedule Oregon, but why do that when we could very well meet them in the BCSCG this year.
We're just gonna have to stop because you're going to keep spewing bullshite and I'm going to keep responding so this is going to get old fast.

Please tell me you are not bragging about playing Carolina and Idaho.

yeah, I see your point. You guys get Penn State, LSU got the Rose and Orange bowl winners, who each had high scoring offenses. Great point...Oregon O sux, as does WV.

Wow, I do not disagree but something about that made me pause - Muschamp better step up to even be in the conversation.

Other than last year we've scheduled better OOC teams than you recently, this year included.

In 2010 Bama was 5th in scoring D, 7th in yards per game, 13th in pass yards allowed, 20th in Rush Yards allowed, and 3rd in INTs. Alabama could very well have the more talented D, but to say their won't be a dropoff, especially earlier in the season, is just homerism. Without a doubt they'll have a top 10 defense next year, but LSU, in all likeliness, will have the better D this year.
EDIT: Here's the source. It is notable that South Alabama and UMass are on these lists, and if you feel like taking them out Bama moves to 6th in yards, 11th in passing yards, and 19th in rushjng yards. So regardless of their inclusion/exclusion Bama only finishes top 5 in two categories and top 10 in 3.
I was talking about SEC, chief, since, you know, that is what this thread is about.

Did you also see my other point?
Games Vs. Conference

Bama, UGA, and USCe would have done just as good against Oregon as you did.

as does WV
Nope, but they passed all over your best secondary in school history.

Though I'm not sure what this has to do with having the best D in the SEC this coming season.
