all of that doesn't prove they would have beaten 2004 Auburn, so we are back to your biased opinion.

Auburn is not even in this discussion:
1) No titles ....both LSU and Uf have 2 trophies
2) 88 wins....both LSU & UF have at least 99 wins
3) Auburn didn't have the head to head versus either

2001-2010

1. LSU (102 wins, 2 BCS Champ, 3 SEC Champ)
2. Florida (98 wins, 2 BCS, 2 SEC)
3. Texas (106 wins, 1 BCS, 2 Big 12)
4. Ohio State (94 wins, 1 BCS, 4 Big 10)
5. Auburn (93 wins, 1 BCS, 2 SEC)
6. Alabama (65 wins, 1 BCS, 1 SEC)
7. Oklahoma (109 wins, 0 BCS, 6 Big 12)
8. Boise State (114 wins, 0 BCS, 8 WAC)
9. Virginia Tech (99 wins, 0 BCS, 4 ACC)
10. Georgia (96 wins, 0 BCS, 2 SEC)

(a. I prioritize BCS Championship winners over non-BCS Championship winners, and b. U$C is not allowed to come out and play)

Auburn is the defending NC. How do you forget something so recent?

I meant for this to be from 2000-present... but its my fault for using the word Decade. I didn't realize everyone would take that so literally

im changing the title of the thread

Too lazy to go back and look this up, but I think AU has the h2h advantage over UF.

The original subject line said " last decade" we can argue the point but the last decade to most people is 2000 to 2009

Warning: Completely subjective opinion here, but:

I'm older than most that frequent here, so have probably seen more college football teams than most (not a brag, if any of y'all know how to trade my memories for your youth, please let me know ). In my lifetime, there have been several teams that just had that "juggernaut" feel to them - that you just knew were gonna destroy everyone in their wake. The mid-90s Nebraska teams, late 70s Tide, '01 Canes, some of the Switzer OU triple-option teams. I don't remember the '04 Auburn team having that unstoppable feel to it. I guess that "it" factor. They were obviously very good, but they didn't "scare" me. So it always surprises me when AU fans throw that team into the pantheon of great teams.

Decades start in the year "1" and end in the year "10".

They're not counted 0-9, but 1-10.

The year 2000 was the LAST year of the old millenium and the last year of the Decade of the 1990's.

The latest decade is 2001-2010.

Indeed it did. You were correct. 00-09 is 10 seasons

00 to 10 is not a decade.

It's a decade (01-10) plus one (00).

I don't think anyone, including Auburn fans, are saying '04 was one of the top 10 teams of all time. That being said, they were one of the strongest of the last decade, even more so than last year's Auburn team that won it all.
