Still waiting to hear what Mallett's 'off the field' issues are?

His arrogance? His confusion as to the color of his skin? Where's the list and how does his differ from 99.9% of others not named Tim Tebow?

Oh, I remember now. He got a public intox charge walking between bars 18 months ago.

perception of him is that he is a douche and that won't go well in the nfl. (see VY)

Other than that right now I have no idea but it WILL come out and we will ALL know.

it differs completely there is a huge difference between confidence and being a prick.

if you look on message boards (I know it doesn't necessarily mean alot) but on them many man people know Mallett is a douche. They seem to know his Michigan teammates HATED him.

I don't think him thinking he's black or being cocky has affected his performance and there are no reports that his team has a problem with him.

He has no off the field issues. None.

I don't understand why Mallet wouldn't be a good pro quarterback. He done pretty well in a pro style system.

it ain't all about performance all the time. 95% of it is but that other 5%...

well at Michigan they did.

I can't wait until he interviews like shite and it is revealed that he is bad in the classroom and we find out some things that have been kept under wraps brought to the light.

Come on, man. You're a solid poster around here.

Don't you think you're reaching here? I don't think Mallett is Tebow. But there's nothing hidden that will knock him out of the first 5-10 taken in the draft.

possibly.

I don't think he will go that high regardless of how he interviews. I don't think there is anything really bad hidden but I do think the perception some have of him may hurt him. But we will just have to wait and see.

I'll have to check.

He did have Locker over Bradford last year though...

Don't get me wrong, I had doubts about Bradford, but not enough to say Locker is a better pro prospect at that point.

Locker is a good athlete that has potential to be a starting NFL QB, but is a few years away from that happening...

Only people who have never seen Luct play would ask this question. Quintessential NFL QB. Think Matt Ryan but with more leadership and collegiate success.

agreed, I do think he could surprise and be good in a short while. it is all up to him and his work ethic.

stats are deceiving. They also don't show intangibles.

Stats are deceiving but not deceiving as they would be absent a strength of schedule metric. How many more yards would Mallett have in the Pac-10? 1,000?

As far as intangibles, I don't hear anyone saying Mallett lacks them.

The biggest complaint about Mallett is "He thinks he's black".

meh still doesn't tell the whole story because I think you also have to take into account how talented the player's teammates are around him.

yet. Idk we will see. It's kind of pointless for me to tell you he lacks them when right now we have no idea.
