Smith's MSU teams usually started pretty well, but his anger ruined every season after they suffered their 1st loss of the year. At Arky he couldn't even beat la Monroe in game 2 though.

He is. Houston Dale Nutt is a scourge upon this earth.

How does it feel to be an LSU fan again? It's been like 7 years since you became a traitor.

...nothing will ever be worse than hiring florida state's Fat Brad Scott in 1994. can't believe a professed fsu fan above all doesn't know that. however, those few Fat Brad years still weren't as humiliating as this...

but nothing is life is as humiliating as that play

well - maybe this

or maybe this...

78 yards of humiliation might could be made into a movie - something catchy like ~ "28 Games Later"...since Chuck Palahnuik's "Choke" was released in 2008.

if you really want to start a troll thread about humiliation - talk about dave hart and all lawsuits he's been a part of at both fsu and tennessee.

By a humiliating hire I meant a guy everybody knows will be a failure when they're hired. South Carolina couldn't have realized for sure that Brad Scott would be a disaster. The Muschamp hiring on the other hand.....

You hired Barry Odom, go home :rotflmao:. While Muschamp may not have been the HR hire we hoped for, he is lightyears ahead of Odom. Odom isnt even a proven recruiter. You sir lose, try again.

Similiar to the posters on this board, Odom isn't a 100% proven failure as a head coach. (Even though it is doubtful Odom will succeed.) Muschamp on the other hand is a proven failure as a head coach, and in the same SEC East Division he's been hired in to boot.

He is also a PROVEN recruiter, as is his staff. So worst case he loads a roster for the next guy, much like we saw 'old Butter teeth benefit from this year. Muschamps first 2 qb's this time around are absolute studs, McIllwain and Bentley, Roper was given one year and his offense wasnt too bad, the problem for UF in that shite year was injuries on the defense, they had a ton of them. We will see if he can pull it off. No doubt that his teams at UF underachieved, now we can see what he can do with less pressure and a star studded staff. IF he cant at least average 6-6 in his first 3 years i agree he is a bust. Before you go out and say it was a bust lets see how he handles the brutal schedule he is handed in year one of a rebuild.

Freeze has a winning SEC record and 2 straight wins over Saban. Why would you say him?

Zook is one of the best recruiters in CFB history. He certainly is a terrible coach. But he still can leaves things stacked for a successor.

Yeah John L Smith probably would be more humiliating than Muschamp actually. He and willingham are about the only 2 clear downgrades to Muschamp though.

If he can find a decent assistant or 2 he can be able to win as a figurehead. Which is better than Muschamp can do.

Muschamp is a pretty good recruiter as well.. Not sure but, I'm pretty sure the thread was aimed at Muschamp being a terrible coach..Zook has him beat..And he wasnt such a great recruiter at Illinois.. Muschamp has shown he can already recruit at SC already..

Muschamp was a good recruiter at Fla. Not that hard to be good recruiting Fla talent to the flagship school. Zook proved that. Noone in the Big10 is willing to say Zook was a great recruiter there.

What is hard to understand about a hire like Muschamp is...he was bad at Fla....which is in way better position for success than USClite.

After plans A-Z fell through..they should have thought outside the box and hired someone like Lincoln Riley or John Grass

Winner, winner. I still think at least someone in our administration knew just how bad he was and went ahead with it purely to tarnish Petrino a little bit more.

Smile!
