Agree. Most of the bowl games have roughly evenly matched teams so a lot of them are close exciting games. I enjoy watching almost all of them.

One more point on this topic and I'll shut up: when you get to the point where you have VANDY going to a bowl, that means for sure that there are too many damn bowls.

I love bowl games for the matchups. You get to see a ton of matchups that probably wouldn't ever be scheduled in the regular season (until recently). Or if you're an Auburn fan and play either Wisconsin or Clemson every bowl game

Vandy is not a good example considering how well they finished their season. They surely deserved a bowl game; they just didn't show up. some teams don't "deserve" bowl games. Of the 80+, I'd say maybe 4 each year don't deserve it.

Being around idiots during the holidays, I can see why there's a market for useless bowl games.
Some people don't know what to do with their time. They don't read or have many hobbies. They don't work out. They're perfectly happy watching Miami OH vs Mississippi State in a zero atmosphere, nearly empty venue.
