What kind of commie bastard asks this type of question?

Bowl games are as American as Hot dogs, apple pie, and cowbells.

This is so obvious that I almost forgot that all the bowl games thus far have been lower-tier matchups.

I honestly enjoy watching teams play against teams they wouldn't normally play against in the regular season.

Cross conference games are fun?

I may be in the minority here, but I like the bowl games. I don't think there are too many, and I am perfectly ok with losing teams going to them. They are clearly the ones who need the extra practice anyway. I can't watch all of them but I do watch a lot of them. I honestly don't understand the problem here. If you don't like bowl games, then don't watch them. If you like bowl games but don't like the match ups, well that's a different topic. You asked who cares about bowl games. I would say the coaches, the players, their families, the merchants in the bowl cities, and some fans like me.

Why watch any regular season basketball? It means nothing

I'm a college football fan, therefore, I enjoy watching these games. They will be the last we see for 9 months.

That's my fault probably, I only tend to comment when I disagree. I enjoy a good argument, and you are good at it. You actually get a lot of my upvotes.

Watching any sport is a waste of time. But the Founding Fathers foresaw that we would become a slothful nation and encoded our right to watch grown men violently grope each other into the basic foundations of our democracy. Time isn't wasted if you enjoy wasting it. That's what freedom is all about.

Although slightly disagree on bo game amounts but have an upvote for some good points to think about.

Yeah...extra bowl practices get lost in the shuffle sometimes.

Millions of people do.

Enough to make Ohio vs. Troy the most watched TV program in America on the day it was played.

You want to know why so many bowls exist? This.

You want to know who cares about bowls? The millions of people watching them.
