And then there's the school none of y'all can match:

1. Marcus Allen
2. Charles White
3. O.J. Simpson
4. Reggie Bush
5. Anthony Davis

Since we are only looking for five, I will exclude the many honorable mentions in the rich tradition of USC running backs.

I will say this for USC, ya'll have got some legendary running backs. That's why I kind of chuckle when Auburn refers to themselves as "Running Back U." Alabama has had just as many awesome running backs and neither school can compare to the RBs that have played for USC over the years.

Jamal vs Shaun could go either way. Arian vs Ingram, in college it was Ingram in the NFL it was Arian. Bryce Brown is no way even close to Trent Richardson

Does anyone really want to attempt to go 16 deep to even try to get in the discussion with Auburn as far as runningbacks go?
lsu can hold it's own. this is in addition to the 5 already mentioned

labrandon toefield
keiland williams
dominick davis/williams
harvey williams
rondell mealey
charles scott
garry james
stevan ridley
joe addai
alley broussard
jacob hester - didn't have the measurables of the all time sec greats but is tough as hell and is in the league

that's only going back to '80 and doesn't include the current roster which is freakin loaded. i realize auburn may have an edge but, lsu's list is more than respectable.

It's amazing how quickly opposing fanbases have forgotten how badly Mark Ingram pummeled their defenses while he was playing for Alabama.

Yeah that SOB just ripped Auburn year in and year out. Couldn't wait to see him leave.

Plus, our Heisman Trophy winning RB lead his team to an undefeated, SEC & National Championship.

Au fans can stamp their feet all they want but Bama has been equally, if not more, productive as RBU.

But the award currently goes to USCw for overall winner of the moniker of RBU.

The most underrated RB in Tennessee history has to be Charlie Garner.
