Do we have to use Head coaches or can we use assistants/players? If we use assistants/players Arkansas can put together a list like this:

Frank Broyles
Jimmy Johnson
Barry Switzer
Lou Holtz
Ken Hatfield

Doc Fenton was a Yankee from Scranton, PA. Not to mention a player and not a coach. Nice fail dumbass.

In that case, all is well.

Okay...try to pay attention: Fenton was a player, Wade was a coach, maybe you should read the thread title again. Furthermore the 1926 Alabama team, coached by Wade, won The Rose Bowl and established a new national respect for Southern football. Not to mention, unlike Doc Fenton Wallace Wade was actually from the South. Idiot.

You're the idiot who can't pay attention. I made a funny little comment in response to the "on the map" comment made by the OP, because my TD name is Doc Fenton. Haha, right? Funny ... maybe not so funny. Whatever. But you have to go turn it into some super serious polemic battle like a total assclown. Congrats on that.

In any case, just to clarify the record: LSU was the best team in the nation in 1908 (the earliest NC awarded to a Southern team by one of the big 3 scholarly research associations); GT was the best team in the nation in 1917 when Heisman was coaching; and then came along Bama. I know it's hard to believe, but there were other great Southern teams before Wallace Wade started coaching.

In any case, let's now turn to your "he's gotta be from the South to be relevant to this thread" argument. On second thought, let's not. It's too mind-blowingly stupid to even consider.

Have a nice day, and GFY.

Sincerely,
Doc Fenton

Funny? That's funny. Actually I am the OP, you went and hijacked the thread creating a "serious polemic battle" when you went all vitriolic in your irrelevant, and very not funny post.

As for the LSU squad in 08', congrats. I never said anything to discredit that. I merely praised WW and noted the recognition Alabama brought to Southern football (which is well documented). I am sure you care a great deal about the accomplishment of dead people from your school, good for you. You just choose to express your pride by calling people A-holes and posting nonsense if they don't share your obssesion.

Try to lighten up, maybe not be so angry. Believe it or not Alabama fans are not the root cause of all your problems. For example it's not our fault that you have a creepy albino in your avatar, you can't blame Alabama fans for your shitty taste.

Have a nice day yourself.

(In no order)

Lou Holtz
Barry Switzer
Jimmy Johnson
Frank Broyles
Ken Hatfield
Bobby Petrino

Take your pick

Throw in Danny Ford if you want since he has a NC and was thrown in the fires of trying to move Arkansas from the SWC to SEC.
