Michigan
Alabama
Georgia
Texas

Next four:
Washington
Oregon
Ohio State
FSU

Is there really a question in anyone's mind about what would happen if Georgia played Washington? Georgia wins by at least two touchdowns. Georgia got hosed they are clearly one of the best teams in the nation

Agreed.

I just think the committee model is stupid and I hate that prognostication has a hand in it. If we “played all the games on paper” to determine who’s worthy college football wouldn’t be any fun.

Michigan should not be allowed in the playoffs. They fricking cheated. It's fricked up that they are in before FSU.

Looks right in my opinion when it comes to what I see when i watch the games. But is that how it would play out if they played idk. Washington beat Oregon and I didn't see that happening. The results from this year show that the best 4 teams are

Michigan
Washington,
Florida State
Texas.

If its about what we see with our eyes and when we watch the game and not the results then why even play regular season games.

Well if that’s the case then Georgia should be in. You FSU whiners are annoying.

Really no reason to play the season. Just put the 4 teams that buy the best rosters in the playoff and call it a day.

The problem with that argument is Georgia is not a CC. And before you say it a CC caries weight in the CFP mandate. The eye test is only one factor not the main factor.

The SEC championship will possibly be detrimental to SEC teams moving into the 12 team format.... Conference championships will not mean much, as the majority of the 12 teams will not be conference champions. I can envision multiple scenarios where an additional loss would remove a potential SEC team from consideration.

Agree 100 percent. The teams should have been

Michigan
Texas
Bama
Georgia

or

Michigan
Washington
FSU
Texas

The committee wanted Bama and the west coast so they voted for their desired result instead. Texas just happened to be on the Bama train.

The four highest rated conference champions will receive a first round bye in the new model. Where that hurts most is when you have two of the top four teams from one conference - only the champ will get a bye.

Florida State isn't the 8th best team right now. They would lose to the majority of top 25 teams.

I don't like the CC game in a 12 team PO. You will most likely get a bye if you are the CC but the loser, if still in it, would end up playing 5 post season games if they won them all. The CC game, plus 4 PO games. Since the regular season is 12 that makes 17 games in all. It's too many to ask for a college student.

I think you’re underrating Washington a bit and overrating Michigan considerably.

But the overall point stands—“best four” would clearly be Alabama, Georgia, Texas, and Washington/Michigan

Is Washington a lock to defeat Georgia? No. Could it happen? Yes.

Washington is the truth. They are better than Michigan.

Agree, except with the Travis-less FSU even being in the Top 8. Let’s drop the charade.

I’d also move Michigan to 3 with Bama and us as 1 & 2
