re: RPI Update per Warren Nolan

That Troy game will count as a Q1 win for Alabama as it was @Troy and I believe Q1 Away is 1-50 compared to home being 1-25? Big boost for us I expect Alabama to jump a spot or two maybe even 10?...

RPI Boost from tonight.

It will not be coming from the LSU/Nwst game but we did just avoid a potential big RPI loss now the loss will be only a 2/3 spots. :geauxtigers: But, Alabama did just beat #21 Troy who had an RPI of 47 @ Troy so that counts as a Q1 win. This will end up helping our RPI as well when we play A...

If Jones comes back with Milam and Larson in their sophomore years. With our other young guys + portal. I will be really excited about our team. Jones will be the carrying factor when it comes to power next year unless we pick up a big power hitter in the portal. I would hope Frey would take a jump ...

On a positive note alabama beat troy who has a good RPI and is ranked #21 which would help our RPI....
For the most part how you perform in the SEC causes the midweek performances to have no particular impact on your chances. Our unique situation losing this game would cause the already RPI loss to be bigger and it would just make our metrics worse than they already are compared to other bubble teams...
If Alabama wins this midweek game against Troy who is a top 25 team. Could be a big boost to the RPI which would end up helping us. It is currently 5-5....
Did you factor in possible "road game jitters"?
No, I think Alabamas home SEC record is really impressive vs the teams they've played. But i don't imagine Alabama's home crowd is that impressive I expect LSU fans to travel decently well. maybe a 35/65 crowd or 40/60 maybe I am ov...
Don't know. But LSU is playing better at the right time. If I had to wager, I would say they win enough to get in. But hopefully not against Alabama.
I did a in-depth post about LSU-Alabama on Tigerdroppings where I compared all stats. Y'all are no joke and will be a really tough...
I am just curious as to what y'all think LSU has to do to make the field of 64. How I feel, we have a really good mid week and out of conference record. 22-3 but it is a rather weak out of conference schedule the highlight wins would probably be Texas and ULL at Minute Maid. Currently 9-15 in l...
Depends on how the game is going. If we get a 4+ run lead I would use our middle of the pack bullpen arms and try to keep Herring and Little from being used up as much as possible for Sunday. What I think Jay Johnson will do is go Jump/Little , Holman/Herring , and continue to try to find a way to ...
I'd be a big fan of finishing 8/9 spot. Looking very likely the other team will be Alabama (beatable), and Kentucky would be the #1 team in the tournament and I feel like id rather them than Arkansas, Texas AM or Tenn...
Their bullpen does not seem to have near as many innings as our guys that may be because we do not have a guy who starts every Sunday whereas they seem too. Idk if its a good thing that their bullpen has less innings because they could be more fresh but also less experience. Top arms out of the ...
Interesting that they are disciplined at the plate resulting in fewer strikeouts, which is the strength of our pitchers. Strength vs strength. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.
I believe this was pretty similar to last year in regards to our pitchers were not having the ...
Honestly for the hitting it shows how God awful we were those first 5 series when we were trying to figure out a lineup worth a shite. With that said tendencies like walks and strikeouts probably wouldn't have changed much. Curious how our batting % has improved since Vandy. I say that because...
Better pitching in first 2 games for sure. Depending on if we can get big enough leads to not have to use Herring/Little will determine how I feel as far as game 3 pitching matchup. Their 3rd guy is interesting because he has the worst ERA but has the most strikeout out of their 3 guys by far. I hav...
These stats are from May 4th and do not include today's stats. I am doing the stats specifically from SEC games because I feel like they are the most important because it is where the players are playing the best competition. Offensive Stats for Alabama compared to LSU in SEC Games Bati...

Good game aggies, hard to keep a team who’s top 10 in every offensive category down for long. This helps our chances at post season dramatically still got a lot of work to do I wish LSU fans would quit crying about today because we went 2-1 vs #1 after the season we’ve had. A lot of casual fans...
Believe it or not, Mainieri had three solid starters in 2012 and still lost to Stony Brook.
College baseball has changed a lot since 2012, bats are better, ball flys further, strike zone is tighter. More hitters making it to campus because less draft picks....
