Gonna be hard for Aky to get any worse.

Florida's offense couldn't be any worse.

Yeah well I've been saying that since Meyer's last year.

TAMU - Worse

The loss of JFF and Evans will be offset by an improved defense. We had absolutely NO pass rush last year. That will change with the addition of Henderson and Garrett and the continued development of Golden. Worst-case scenario is SAME, but I think that we improve slightly. Of course, that could be completely offset by a harder schedule.

Marlin Lane got over 500 yds as a backup and avg 5.3/rush. Not great, but not unproven.

Yeah I meant the freshman. I'm sorry if that wasn't clear.

True, but Marquez North, Pig (if he returns), Von Pearson (#1 JUCO WR), and Josh Malone (#1 TN WR, #5 in nation) will be the most raw talent out of any WR corps in the SEC this year.

I still think Bama has you guys beat.

hah, okay champ

TAMU didn't get better last year from 2012. Teams adjusted to their style of play.
Do you even watch football?

In scoring offense, they were almost identical from 2012 (44.2 vs 44.5 ppg). Near the same in total offense as well (-20 ypg from 2012).

Do you understand how a team sport works? The offense can still be good, and the team worse, if the defense blows. They lost over half their starters on D from 2012 to 2013.

ETA: "Adjusting to their style of play" must mean run it down their porous defense.

Alright, forgot about Bama, but i'd still say we deserve a spot in the top 3, easy

Worley had a couple of pretty good games strung together before his injury last year.

WHen? Let's not count Austin Peay.

the two QBs who saw significant time last year should be better prepared to perform on Saturday.
They didn't even really show flashes of being good. I get your point though.

In terms of potential yes. In terms of predictions no. In terms of production no.

Really? Losing the greatest play-maker in the history of your school (and at least one other first rounder from your offense) is going to be off-set because your historically bad defense is going to suck slightly less?

You sound like the Tennessee fans who think they will be much improved while replacing their entire offensive line. Got to love the off season when optimism is high and realistic views of one's own team are nowhere to be found.

I don't see how they can't be worse. They lose their Heisman winner, best OL and best receiver

The hilarious part is that you actually believe this

Newsflash: it takes more than a pass rush to make a bad defense even decent. Arky had one of the best front 4 in the SEC last year and where did that get us? Keep dreaming Aggy

The offense may not be quite as good, but we're absolutely LOADED at receiver, so the loss of Evans isn't as big a deal as you'd think. I trust Sumlin to develop Hill or Allen to the point of being very competitive, even if they aren't quite JFF.

Unless you are the NY Giants during the 2007 and 2011 playoffs.

Anyone can put up numbers in Sumlin's scheme.
