7 games over .500 in the first four years isn't enough to be on the hot seat? Slightly better than Mike Shula overall with the same conference record.

I think Pinkel will surprise people this year. I think last year was horrible, but was hurt significantly by injuries. Franklin especially.

Whether or him having a good season is good for the program without a coach in waiting at his age is up for discussion.

Muschamp.

This is his third year. Do or die.

Coaches to win SECC in first 3 years:

Saban (LSU)
Saban (Bama)
Miles
Chizik
Richt
Spurrier (FL)
Urban

Then there is the other club... coaches who did not win the SEC in their first 3 years.

Which club will Mussy belong to?

Pinkel is the first one that comes to mind. I also have to believe that if Muschamp fails to win 7-8 games this year his seat will begin to start warming.

Here's a real site that ranks all coaches hot seats: LINK
Pinkel rates 13th, which is accurate.

That being said, I stand behind my previous statement.

Are you actually defending Dan Mullen?

Why would I not?

Because in 50 games, he's now lost 2 that he was supposed to win(both with the other team favored BTW)? 50 games -- We've lost 1 as a favorite in 4 years. Talent is getting better -- and perhaps the biggest thing, he's made changes on his shortcomings.

You are damn right I'm defending him -- and the entire SEC will see why on August 31 -- and REALLY see why in 2014 when the redshirting program finally comes full circle.

SABAN
He will lose to LSU on his home field for the 2nd time in 3 years. Bammers tea bag him, hang him in effigy, and hire Bobby Petrino from Western Kentucky.

Mullen is far from the hot seat. He's doing things never done before at MSU. We are expanding our stadium which is the result of Mullen's success (in regards to our expectations). The only people that want Mullen to be on the hot seat are the fans that forget what we went through just 5 years ago (3-4 win seasons). He won't be anywhere near the hot seat this season. Now, if he underachieves and wins less than expected (6-6) than he will be closer to the hot seat next off season.

MSU needs to stick with Mullen, he's solid and has a chance to sneak into Atlanta in any given year if the cards fall right into place. He's had some good teams and is getting players into the NFL which will continue to help with recruiting.

There's not a coach in the Sec with a true hot seat, we just had a lot of turnover so I see every school sticking with their respective coaches for at least 2 more years.

Cue: Mizzou fans shitting on Pinkel and creating banter for the football season.

Isn't the deal that we have to deal with you lowlife folks and we get good football prospects and coaches?
