An award given while several important sports are still in progress.

Just call it the track award and be done with it.

Who are you, and what have you done with the real road? Real road would be posting "fishing" pictures.

I guess LSU is closest to South Carolina.

1. Football is king, but baseball is a close second
2. Both states have a ton of palmettos
3. shite that's all I got. I don't know a whole lot about USC.
4.

Possibly Texas A&M.

- A&M and LSU still are the two schools that have produced the most generals and officers in all the American conflicts, with the exception of the service academies.

- LSU is also an A&M college and has a big military presence and heritage to this day.

- LSU and A&M are two of the best research institutions in the South if not the country. The Pennington Biomedical Research facility is huge.

- LSU is on a Top 30 Quality Thrust (ForeverLSU) that will continue. (They will get the budget mess straightened out.)

- In addition to Agribusiness and other similar curricula, both have excellent engineering schools, most notabaly Petroleum, Chemical, Civil, and Coastal Erosion; eseceially Petroluem.
Although, LSU also has an innovative and unique curriculum in "Hurricane" Engineering.

- Regarding Researsch again, both schools have worked and continue to work collaboratively on numerous studies and projects. Both schools vie for students in their specialties.

- Is home to the two largest football stadiums in the SEC and in the Top 5 in the nation.

LSU also shares some traits and similarities with Auburn as far as Engineering excellence.

SEC regular season play has completed.

Track actually counts as 1 sport in this competition as outdoor counts as 1/2 and indoor and XC count 1/4 each.

With the exception of having good academics, solvency, and (blah, blah, blah), LSU is more like A&M.

I'm going to have to agree with this. Almost Jekyll and Hydes of one another.

As far as football accomplishments, LSU, UGA and AU are extremely close.

You have to be a special kind of idiot to have been a member since Feb 2009 and not realize that LSU fans don't "get" mad, they simply ARE mad, and stay mad.

Stop flattering yourself.

a 24 game lead in the series is pretty significant in a sport like football.

Our athletic department was clicking on all cylinders in the ACC just 1-2 years before leaving the conference and being independent for over 20 years. In fact, we've spent nearly half our existence as an independent.

eta: Point is, I have no doubt that if we had stayed we would've rung in more than a few if we had stayed.

Bama compares well with a big pile of fungus. Bama isn't my school, and a big pile of fungus isn't another SEC school, but I think I mostly stayed on topic. :-D
