The '69 Texas/Arkansas game beats the hell out of any other SWC game ever

I'm not going to judge which one was bigger, but I was around during the SWC days, and Arkansas/Texas was huge every year, and there was much animosity (hate) between the two. I remember my dad making me hold his hand entering & leaving the stadium when we attended them.

Who the frick knows what the more relevant program will be. Neither of us are Bama/tOSU-style programs that we matter even when we suck.
Its very simple- when you had your BCS bowl attending coach, you were more relevant.
Now that we have a Heisman winner on campus we are more relevent.
Until either one of us wins a modern national or SEC title we both become irrelevant the second we lose what makes us relevent.
That means for Arky you lost your relevancy when the bike fell over, just like we lose ours when JFF becomes Johnny NFL. Unless he can do something more substantial than win a Heisman.

Were talking about a game/rivalry that happened/was around 40+ years ago...most of the people on this board probably weren't around to remember that including myself. This argument will hold no weight with the younger crowd because no one give a rat arse about the SWC anymore. But, if you want to live in the past and dig up old bones than go ahead. Not sure if you noticed but A&M is in the SEC west now and if you want to try to rekindle the flames of an old "rivalry" looks like the pigs got off to a bad start. A&M 58 Arkansas 10. 0-1 for the swine. Continue on with your history lesson.

I'd love to see your definition of relevant. Because Arkansas has gotten more National Press in this offseason than A&M did all year.
