Since we've only been in the SEC 3 years, I'm gonna flip the script and pick the team outside the Big 12 I always respected the most.

Ironically, it was a current division rival....Tennessee. Always cheered for them when they were on TV. Had good football (at the time) and basketball under Pearl was exciting. Like their color scheme and love the state of Tennessee overall. So I guess just this once, here's to you, Vols

By a large margin, Stanford... They play traditional ball and have high academic standards while remaining relevant.

Distant second would be Wisconsin/ Michigan St. as I enjoy their game styles as well.

Sidenote: Before their recent arrival in the SEC and to stay true to the thread Mizzou was in the mix.

For me it was Mizzou before they joined the SEC. Now I would say Army, Stanford and Michigan State.

USC.

Use to be OU and Ohio State, but due to recent (and unforeseen) circumstances I had to change my opinion on them.

OP, it was cool to have an Alabama vs Nebrska national title game back in the 1970's.

Did you know our new head coach was apart of the Alabama program back in the 1970's?

He has always admired Nebraska. That is why this is the only job he left for after being chased by your very own Alabama program, USCw, UCLA, Washington and a few other programs.

Yep. Always been a fan of his, and for some reason he's never wanted anything to do with Bama. I thought it might have to do with him being happy out near the West Coast. Turns out I guess that wasn't the case

I wanted him back when we hired Price and Shula. Glad we got Saban

Yeah, nobody could get him to leave. USCw tried twice.

The interesting thing is that he has a winning record against Harbaugh, the new Michigan coach. Should be interesting times.

For me it's the U. Miami didn't start dominating college football till the late 80's, but when they did nobody was better. Championships in the 80's, 90's, and 00's.
Who had better SWAG.

I like this idea, and am hereby piggybacking off of it

For me, it was South Carolina.

It's Ohio State, again. Everything associated with that Blob has been erased from Michigan memory.

something about watching a team line up and know it didn't matter who they were playing, they couldn't be stopped. Those teams were full of road grinding badasses.

He was very interested in the head coaching job in 2003, but UCLA was courting him as well. Mal told him if he interviewed with UCLA, we would remove him from consideration.

Kind of a dick move by ol' Mal.
