09, made Colt McCoy's bitch arse quit. One of my friends had been talking up to that about how much better he was than Tebow. Still gets butthurt about it.

Sometimes, I just think of the championship game as another beatdown. Then, I read stuff like this and it makes the beatdown much more special.

quote:

I would think the 2011 championship would be one of the most hollow championships Alabama has ever won. I mean yall didnt even wins the western division or the SEC championship and really got back into the game on the coat tails of ESPN pumping yall with everyone else shatting the bed.
Grant it yall beat us pretty good in the national title game but yall couldnt get it done in the regular season.

06 was unexpected, at least for me. Not to mention how we didn't belong in the game and Ohio St was going to kill us.

Eh, I think at this point the admins have determined that I am no threat. Just a harmless fella who gets schnockered once a week and writes terribly vile things about the Vols.

I'm like that uncle that you are ashamed of, but can't get rid of. In a football sense.

I'll refrain from voting, but I will say this much... the LSU team Alabama played in the 2011 BCS game was the best team Alabama has played in a national championship game in MY lifetime.

09 is my second fav - was in Dallas with a coworker the night of the game, he being a bama fan and my hating texas, i pulled for Bama that night.

the texas fans were obnoxious as hell, untill McCoy went out. then they shut the frick up real fast. i know my coworker and I were obnoxious the rest of the night to them - just cause how they were to us. surprised we didnt get a beating that night.

It's a tie between 1992 and 2011 for the same reason---"Us against the world."

92. Without a doubt.. I was a sophomore, had friends on the team, lived across the street from the practice fields and watched practice many times from my front balcony..crushed The U in NOLA.. Incredible win..

What about 2003 since you guys like to claim that one since your coach won that one, too?

Sick burn, dude. Well executed.

ETA: I suppose I should answer the OP. I'm actually partial to '09 I suppose. If only because I was a student during that year. '11 is good because of the butthurt, and '92 is good for the nostalgia, but I gotta put '09 up. Plus my best friend (AU fan technically but not in spirit, one of those people who only care about one game a year) married a UT grad and posted all this Hook 'Em Horns crap all over her facebook. Thank God I didn't have to field a call from her after the game like I did for the 2010 Iron Bowl.

the '92 game b/c of all of the arrogant smack talk from the u's players...teague's strip is my all time favorite moment from an alabama player. even though it didn't count, it just put an exclamation point on what alabama did to miami in that game.

in historical terms, the entire set up to and what happened in this year's game. this year's bcsncg was the tipping point for major changes to cfb. plus, this site was gold before and after 1/9/12...

2011 due to the lopsided field position (LSU not threatening to get in field goal range).

1992 close second due to underdog whippin that as- (nation had Miami winning easily).
