We can afford to do shite like that. The difference in revenue last year between Auburn and Texas A&M is large enough we could buy out three Sumlin's just with that difference.

There it is, aggies fall back. "We're richer than you so we can afford to spend more for worse results!"

...and they think that is a valid retort.

Stupid aggies, when will y'all ever learn to stop bragging about wasting money on losing programs? People in the SEC would rather be poor winners than rich losers (I'm looking at YOU Alabama).

You do realize that was the first year our stadium was fully completed so it wasn't all an anomaly right? Next year I still expect to be top 10 in revenues, unlike Auburn this year.

Honestly I am pretty impressed you know how our money is earmarked. Now I feel like I need to be able to quote off the number of inches in yall's godzillatron to make it a fair fight.

damn we made 11 this year...I guess we suck then

AU has been above A&M except your anomaly. And again that money is earmarked for your stadium, not spending or coaching contractual blunders like yall made

Not all of us were locked into place before coaching salaries went crazy with a high value guy like Les. The rest of us have to compete for coaches in the current market, of which the standard is huge contracts that can cripple a school if they can't afford to get out of it. It makes sense to me to brag that we can survive better in this new world order than most programs can, and you will see what I am talking about when the high value coaches like Les all retire.

Of course they do, the whole "rich ______" situation isn't really an option for them anyway.

Well sure, Auburn has always had a bigger stadium than A&M until last year when we finished the biggest stadium in the SEC. The ticket receipts from that bad boy alone will keep us at the top going forward.

Come on, give me a break. Normally an Aggie has to be creative to frame a ranking in a way that looks good to us, but yall being number 11 did it for me naturally. Let me take the layup for ONCE.

It will be most of the difference going forward. Looking at last year the contributions for each program we were about even, as was licencing.

Auburn does have that student fee subsidy we don't have though, because we don't need it.

Better than paying a premium for outright failure. There is a head coach in our state that makes more than Sumlin for not going to a bowl. By our regional standards we are doing ok.

That is what is fricked up about being an Auburn fan- their "regional standard" is Bama. I half think the whole "Georgia-Auburn" rivalry thing exists just so Auburn fans can feel better about themselves in their part of the world.

Thats for rent, etc.. that students use AD property for

its a subsidized income because we need it. its revenue that some places classify as a subsidy because it comes from the school

Last 6 games
2007- MIZ 40 A&M 26
2010- MIZ 30 A&M 9
2011- MIZ 38 A&M 31
2012-A&M 59 MIZZ 29
2013-MIZ 28 A&M 21
2014-MIZ 34 A&M 27

Losing A&M as our West rival cost us a near guaranteed W.

Uh Bama (who has the second largest SEC West stadium) makes an extra $10 million a year off of ticket sales compared to what Auburn makes. That is what all those extra seats and updated suites provide.

Unless you think $10 million is negligible, in which case I have a "I wasn't born in Texas but I got here as fast as I could" bumpersticker for you.

And his arse is gone, so I miss playing yall yearly too.

So our regional standards are the top of CFB and that is a bad thing?

For your own self esteem sure.

Boise St thinks its a badass because everything near it sucks at football. Life is relative.

You have a short memory. You all extended Sumlins contract already that runs to the end of 2019. With a 20M buyout that runs out at the end of 2019. You also are paying said coach 5 million per year a 1.9 million raise and have nothing to show for it except a Heisman.

Auburn fans at least get to say their coach won a SEC Championship and pay their coach a million less than A&M.

A&M fans shouldn't be talking too much shite. Hell we are paying Muschamp for running us in the ground.

Not making much of your case here. So our regional standards are the top of college football and yours are Boise state like?

I guess y'all are happy with bad contracts and mediocre seasons.
