12 ... but I don't mind having A&M in the conference I just wish NC State would have been the other one.

They left to get away from them, just like A&M and just like Mizzou.

16 or 20 would be perfect. Though admittedly if we went 16 we should kick out Kentucky and Missouri to add more quality non Yankee schools. At 20 they can stay however as we'd have enough spots to fill.

I like having Mizzou, don't get me wrong, but I think NC State or UVA would have been a better fit culturally.

Dude, Florida is more yankee than Kentucky.
Plus we need Kentucky for basketball purposes.

UTx actually started it all.
LINK
quote:
Ohio State University President E. Gordon Gee sent an e-mail to Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany on April 20 saying that he had spoken with Texas President William Powers.
"I did speak with Bill Powers at Texas, who would welcome a call to say they have a 'Tech' problem," Gee wrote in an e-mail that was among several obtained by The Dispatch through a public-records request for documents and correspondence related to Big Ten expansion proposals.
When it was discovered that UTx was thinking about leaving the B12, that was the catalyst for everyone to start looking around and jumping ship, including Nebraska and Mizzou. Colorado joined the PAC as a preemptive move to avoid getting left behind when UTx lead an exodus to the West coast.
As for the OP, I prefer 14. Glad to be in the SEC, obviously, and there's no one I'd want to throw out. I'd rather end most of the permanent opponents, and/or go to 9 conference games.

I will take whatever size has us as the only Texas and Oklahoma team in the SEC. Currently that is 14, and I'd rather not expand further if the expansion is with current Big 12 programs.

I like 12. No offense to the new additions but 12 was better. In fact, would rather see MSU go instead of A&M.

I like 10 and throw out Vandy, Mizzou, MSU and Arky.

Did Florida join the Confederacy? Yes.
Ergo Florida is a southern state.
Kentucky did not. Ergo they are damn Yankees.
And no we do not need Kentucky. Especially if we somehow land UNC and or Duke which I hope we eventually get.

Maybe we just combing Ole Miss and State into 1 football team rather thank kick State out?

Nah that's fine. We'll take all of the Mississippi talent to go along with the Georgia, Florida, Texas and Louisiana recruits we get every year. Prepare thy anus.
