point out AU was 10-5 against UT at LF and he starts rambling about AU has played UT 15 times at LF like he made a poin

Point was that AU had played UT several more times in Birmingham than Auburn because it was hard to get there for most of the 20th century, and I was right.

Enjoy your trip home for the Bowl game homie. Maybe they can wheel out Pat Dye to midfield where he went out a losing convicted NCAA cheat.

This thread has made me curious. Everyone knows that Bama played a lot of home games in Legion Field, but few think that Auburn did.

Is there a way to find out how many of the Iron Bowl games were considered Alabama home games and how many were considered Auburn home games?

It was 50/50 but the Auburn revisionist history is that they were all Bama home games.

It was 50/50 as for who was the home team in name, but it was always bamas home field.

Explanation denied.

You don't need an explanation. All you need to know is that I know you're a phony.

No other fanbase that I know of parses a home record down to 'home wins at night' like LSU fans.

Stanford playoff argument this year was because they had to play that northwestern game early.

When looking at the numbers LSU is historically on par with Auburn and UGA

LSU > Auburn

About on par with Georgia, sure.

Yeah, in the grand scheme 22 all time wins and two conference titles is nitpicking when trying to say who's better. Especially after LSU is coming off a run as one of the better teams in the country for a decade. That decade was an outlier for LSU built on the foundation left by one of tGOAT coaches, not the norm. LSU is falling back into their norm now and things will even out.

Those aren't really Alabama fans, they're just UL-L grads that hate LSU. 10 years ago they were all Florida "fans".

Went back to check AU's IB record as the home team in Birmingham. Looks like it comes out to 8-15-1.

Bama's record as home team is 19-10.
