That is exactly why Ole Miss will remain a bottom feeder.

Ole Miss will remain a bottom feeder because we have unoriginal jokes? Okay, well that’s new.

The Auburn fan has been mighty quiet this year.

We’re quiet because our team is not good and it’s probably the least talented roster we’ve had since the lat 1970s.

The only hope I have going into this weekend is the fact that Ole Miss almost never beats Auburn inside Jordan-Hare. Auburn is 17-3 all-time against the Rebs at home and some of those wins were by equally bad Auburn teams.

The 3 Auburn teams who lost to Ole Miss at home (1999, 2003, and 2015) all had either 5 or 6 losses and still managed to only lose by 4, 7, and 8 points.

Do I expect a win this weekend? Not exactly. Would I be surprised with a win? Not in the least.

Never understood the whole “multiple mascot” dig at Auburn. Auburn is not unique.

Ole Miss- rebels, bears, sharks
Alabama- a red wave and an elephant
Tennessee- a Davy Crockett guy and a hound dog

Agreed. Which is what makes the dig from the Auburn fan I responded to hypocritical.

Also, learn the difference between team names and mascots....as well as mascots that aren't currently used.

If you want a candid response:

We're just not very good, and you're decent, so OM will probably win. Alternatively, if we won it would presumably show progress, but it wouldn't generate excitement on the level as would a win over Bama/UGA/LSU/A&M. Hence, the relatively low investment from our side.
