Really good, it's gotten a ton better. Don't think we were fined a single time last year. I'm impressed that our fans have embraced it like they have.

i remember last time we played y'all had the screens giving people prompts.

I think most people don't understand, and y'all really make it out to be this huge game changer, which the rules sort of limit.

I am not surprised, outside tGrind, the cowbells and actually being a MSU fan I am sure you are all reasonable people. It was going to start being a bigger problem if y'all didn't compromise.

Is it used only at times that the SEC says it's legal? If yes, there should be no complaints. If no, it is an illegal noise maker.

It's fricking stupid that this is even a topic of discussion. State has a tradition, and hell, I think it's a good one. When you go to Davis Wade Stadium be expecting cow bells. That's how it is and that's how it should stay. And anyone who doesn't like it can GTFO!

When sitting in the stands it's not that bad (as long as some a-hole isn't damn near hitting you in the head with it). I sat in the MS Power box last time we played in Starkville, and it was awful. All those bells from the lower level just amplified up into those skyboxes. Even the State fans in the box were plugging their ears at times.

Two years ago when LSU was in Starkghanistan, the announcer and the scoreboard warned the fans numerous time about ringing the bells aftee our offense broke the huddle. Most of the Moo U fans around us were very polite and followed the rules except one jerk. It didn't take long to stop him as I took his bell away from him and the Moo U fans around us backed me up. I gave it to the other Moo U fans to hold on to. He tried to start stuff, but I was twice his age and the Moo U fans near us had our backs. I made some friends in Starkghanistan that night as well. So I'm ok with the bells when done by the rules.

It was also a sec tradition that teams could pick their bye week no matter what and then a certain program was upset and the rule was changed. I guess lsu needs to start a tradition of airhorns.

Leave MSUs alone and let em have the cowbells, it's not slanting the game in their favor.

Do cowbells really upset you this much?

Miss St. is the only sec program allowed to use artificial noise makers. From other fans' perspective it's rediculous that 1 program gets to use noise makers and the other arent.

Only because they aren't following the letter of the law completely. Miss St still rings after the ball is set all the time.

So just use them. Ignoring the rules worked for us for about 40 years. I fully support your cause, and will even go so far as to write a strongly worded e-mail to the commissioner on your behalf.

From what I've noticed since we are the "bottom-feeder" of the SEC West, nobody gives two sh*ts about our cowbells until we beat somebody that we usually do not defeat. Then, all of a sudden its, "THOSE COWBELLS ARE CHEATIN' THEY NEED TO BE OUTLAWED!!!! WAH WAH WAH!!! pathetic This is in the same vein as when someone comes to Starkville and defeats State and then talks about how great our fans were and how they enjoyed tailgating with us BUT if we defeated their team, all of a sudden their grandmother was assaulted with cowbells, their wives/children/friends verbally abused and our nasty city gave them prostate cancer.
