When will LSU be relevant again?

I realize the LSU fans are still in the honeymoon phase with their latest QB sensation since they were able to scratch out a victory against MSU in a home night game at Death Valley, but the reality is they haven't finished better than third in the west since 2012. Forget a conference title, these guys can't even manage second place in the division. I guess I just don't understand why their fans call everyone else delusional and irrelevant when that's really what they've been doing the last four years. Will a new coach fix everything?

Lsu really is trash this year and has been for longer than people realize. What's the average final ranking of their team over the last 4 years? I'd be curious to find out

2015: 17th
2014: UR
2013: 14

Until Saban came back to the SEC, LSU didn't want to dominate the league, were in a virtual tie with Urban/Fla for league supremacy..
