A better question is when will ESPN show a replay game in the offseason that doesn't have Bama playing in it.

I swear everytime I see "college football" on the guide in the offseason it is "Alabama vs whoever"

I wish they'd replay the Bama/State game from last year. #believe

better team that day? ok. Best team over the course of the season? Debatable at best.

Like you say, yes its debatable. LSU beat Bama on their home field which is impressive. That game was a defensive battle.

BUT. . .

The NCG in NOLA was a disgrace. I'm just happy they finally got past the 50. I'm not sure how you can ONLY say that was just a bad day for LSU. I can also debate that it was pretty much an LSU home game on the biggest stage.

Wrong. There were actually more Bama fans than LSU fans in the stands.
Alabama had the intangibles for an entire month before after the media and BCS Human Poll Voters scammed them in over Oklahoma State.
Bama had lost to LSU twice in a row and wanted to avenge Nov. 5.
You can't tell me this was the same LSU team that scored 40 or more points 9 times and outscored 13 opponents 500-123.
Yes, of course Bama's defense had something to do with it, but there was no way LSU's adrenaline was as high as Alabama's.

It's not Bama's problem that LSU didn't have "enough adrenaline" as Bama did. It's the NCG if you can't get up for it you deserve to lose.

Also the game was in your backyard. If there were more Bama fans there than LSU fans IDK what to tell you other than your fan base didn't show up.

Sounds like excuse city to me.

All this thread proves is that DS and CP3 will never get over 1/9. Two years and two championships later and they're still here with their tired arse arguments.

Seriously. It's the BCSNCG. You're trying to stake your claim as one of the all-time greatest teams ever (a claim many LSU fans weren't shy about making leading up to the game.) There would be absolutely no excuse not to be completely pumped. And there's no evidence except fanwanking that the LSU team wasn't. Teams might give up (see ND at halftime in the last title game) but not before the game even starts.
