I believe your perspective here is skewed as you are an LSU fan.

Ok, take LSU out of it. Explain to me how Person B is just as deserving of something as Person A when Person B's accomplishments are significantly less than Person A's?

Whine and make threads like this without looking at WHY these things happened the way they did.

I do appreciate your taking time away from the usual "explain away the 35 point loss to Bama by blaming the referees" effort to chime in on behalf of the rest of the NCAA. I assume they appreciate your efforts as well. Fight for justice.

Recruit better. Hire better. Commit to winning. The post alone answers why you can't level the playing field.

Double post. Sometimes my comments are so good that the software just has to put it up twice.

LSU beat Tennessee in the SEC Championship and vaulted them. Another troll thread.

And it was the computers that really killed Auburn, placing OU above USC because computers still operate on the GIGO principle

AUburn wanted no part of USC that year. As much as i hate the trojans, that team would have destroyed any team they faced by 3-4 touchdowns.

Auburn was done a favor by not playing..and it may have helped the SEC champ in future years. You know voters saying, if only we had sent auburn there, maybe it would have been a game.....

So winning the division is a prerequisite? UGA's two losses looked much better than LSU's that year...and besides my only point was that 2007 was really the only year that a legit arguement existed when talking about teams backing into the big game. As I stated earlier, Bama lost at a good time in the season, they had time to build back up and the teams in front of them folded under the pressure.

When you stop rooting for a team who has played an entire season without a conference win.

Maybe, maybe not. That was a great USC team, no question, and Auburn certainly has gotten a lot more mileage out of the "victim of injustice" than they would have out of "victim of Leinart and Bush." But that wasn't a shabby Auburn team. More talented overall than the 2010 team, and it almost certainly wouldn't have been the 35 point whooping (USC Vacated™) that OU suffered. Eh, it's all academic now. It's still indisputable that Auburn had as good an argument as any other team, and probably better than OU.

OTOH, you do make a good point about the future. Arguing that the SEC is now undefeated in 8 tries in the title game is hella compelling when trying to get a team in each year, especially when the playoffs come.

LSU won the BCSNC in 2007 with 2 losses.

Bama was allowed to play in an unprecedented BCSNC game rematch in 2011 and backed into another one in 2012.

Don't forget Florida in 2006. They got a lot of help from the media to leapfrog Michigan to avoid a Michigan-Ohio State rematch.

What happens when Ohio State and Auburn are both sitting at 11-1? Will ESPN push for Auburn like they did for Bama and LSU and help them leapfrog Ohio State? We all know they won't.

Auburn was getting a lot of love in 2010 even when it looked like there might be more than two unbeaten teams, weren't they?

And do you seriously think Georgia wouldn't have gotten into the NC game last year if they had won the SECCG? How would that be any different to Alabama (in your words) "backing" in?

They got steamrolled by three touchdowns by Tennessee. They also lost to 6-6 South Carolina at home. LSU lost two triple overtime games to Kentucky (ranked #17 at the time) and Arkansas (which beat South Carolina by double digits). Also, Georgia had nothing on their resume` even close to LSU's 48-7 thrashing of final BCS #3 Virginia Tech, or our boatload of wins over ranked teams. And that's not even to mention winning the championship of Georgia's conference by beating the team that won Georgia's division thanks to a three-touchdown beatdown of Georgia. With our second-string QB.

Anybody trying to argue Georgia deserved to be there over LSU in 2007 is just trolling. Give it up.
