We played 6 or 7 ranked teams last year. You need the tougher ooc, we dont.
Funny, a glance at the final AP poll shows you played 4.

Wisconsin wanted h&h and we refused. I believe that's correct.

If you don't include bowl games or playoff games, I guess Bama's would be 2010 when we played Penn State and Duke.
I think the last time we played 2 ranked P5 teams (or the equivalent at the time) would've been 1986 when we played both Ohio State and Penn State.
I miss the scheduling from the '70's. In '77 we played Nebraska, USC, Louisville, and Miami and followed that up the next year with Nebraska, Missouri, USC, Washington, and Virginia Tech...while Louisville, Miami, and VT weren't that good back then, it was still better than playing FCS teams or out of the way directional teams...

Not counting the post season, I think 2003 was the last time for Auburn: USC and GT.

But for instance we had(ve) GT scheduled in 2020 in like...201
I think it was a home and home for 2019 and 2020 that was schedule sometime when I was in high school (2004-2008) but GT cancelled a few years ago.

We seem to be playing ECU a bunch recently,
It was a 5 game series I believe. 2 in Cola, 2 in Charlotte, 1 at their place. I think that means we have a Charlotte and an away game left. We actually had to move one of the games out of the way to play UNC last year.

Dang I wouldn't have cut it off before the 88 season with A&M, Ohio State and Florida State.
86: A&M, North Carolina, Notre Dame
87: A&M, Ohio State
88: A&M, Ohio State, Florida State

These OOC schedules were done while having a permanent home-and-away OOC rivalry game scheduled every year through '94.

Not to mention the games with ECU, while not a P5, they are usually a solid team. Better than a lot of P5 teams, that could be scheduled.
I know they're not P5, but we also played @UCF in 2013 - the year they won the Fiesta Bowl.

Yep, it cost us $1.2M
There are now four games remaining in the series. Listed below are the years and the guarantee for the visiting team:
2016 – Columbia, SC ($850,000)
2019 – Greenville, NC ($250,000)
2020 – Columbia, SC ($300,000)
2021 – Greenville, NC ($300,000)

What? I thought we already played them 3 times?
Eta: and I'm almost certain we only agreed to play @ECU once.

Better question would be which SEC team beat the Pac 12 Champ and the former Big East Champ in the same year?
