I'm not as attached to it as I was as a kid, but I'm still irrationally and obstinately obsessed with football.

I respect your honesty. I still follow LSU football ridiculously close, but I get over losses so quickly now and enjoy the fellowship of gamedays (as cheesy as that sounds)

For example I figured Ole Miss would run a train on LSU this past season, but I still had a blast seeing old friends and being in the Grove. I just went ahead and prepared myself for the loss prior to making the trip

Probably after the Notre Dame game. Alabama has become so dominant that anything less than a complete blowout is treated like a loss and some of the fun is gone for me. I love what Saban has done for the program but it won't bother me that much when we return to planet Earth.

It has to be kind of boring at this point. I won't forget this group of Bama girls tell me in 2013 so nonchalantly "Oh, you guys thought you had a chance?" that seems to be the tone from my last two trips to Tuscaloosa, and I can't argue with them unfortunately

The loss @ SC in 2010. It was a crazy storm of momentum after the 2009 undefeated season but after that loss it was almost a sigh of relief looking back. Of course I wasn't happy after the game but it gave me a new perspective.

I still take home losses very seriously, as A&M never lost at Kyle my sophomore, junior, or senior years.

I find the older I get the more emotionally invested I get. It probably has something to do with the fact I spend more money on the program as I get older.

How was I supposed to know with Odell, Jarvis, and Mettenberger, Les was only going to throw it 25 times?

Better yet, how did I not already know after all these years?

Honestly, our recent run has made losses harder to deal with than watching the shitty teams of the mid-late 90's and 00's drop some.

It's one thing to be resigned to a loss or mediocrity, to accept it as fate...but when your team has a damn good chance of winning every game, the unexpected losses become more tangible.

Honestly, we've been winning so long now that I probably take it for granted. I don't get upset when we lose anymore though I don't like it. Losses bothered me much more in the 90's and under Shula. I should have been more understanding of the losses that Mike accumulated due to probation and severe scholarship reductions.

Not to mention, the entire college football world loses its collective mind every time Bama loses.

I took losses real hard from about 6 until about 24. They could ruin a weekend/week.

Now I'm married, have a kid, and many other things to worry about. I still go nuts during the games but give me an hour then I'm over it either way.

I grew up a Saints fan so I try to keep all sports from determining my emotional state.

After graduating. I got to see LSU win the title in football, baseball and a final four in basketball while I was on campus. Not many people can say that they've experienced one of those things while a student.

I still curse and yell at the TV during games (this is not taking things too seriously, it is the natural reaction to watching a Johnny Jones or Les Miles-led team). But I'm not one to dwell on losses much more than the hour or so after the game.

After 1/12. I really don't care anymore honestly. I have seen Bama win 5 in my life and this will go down as the greatest cfb dynasty ever. I honestly can't ask for more as a fan.

It's kind of wierd for me. I have better things to worry about like my family now, but I also actually now give money to them. I am not as emotionally attached, but since I donate, I feel financially attached

It's much easier to get over a loss now, for whatever reason.

I'm the opposite. I have divested most of the emotion I once felt for sports, UK in particular.

I now regard it as purely entertainment. Losses such as last year's FF defeat by Wisconsin no longer bother me the next day.

Juxtaposed to that, if UK had gone 40-0 I doubt I would have registered the emotional high I certainly would have felt when younger. My couches would have been safe.
