I was told by a friend of mine who graduated at Ole Miss, that the Ole Miss Student Body Pres came up with this idea and LSU agreed to it.

exact opposite.
LSU student body came up with the idea.
We came up with the name.
They made the trophy.

Well explain why Ole Miss took it upon themselves to create the "MAGNOLIA" trophy to give to the winner of the Ole Miss/LSU game.

LSU created it.

Does MSU still play in the SEC? I could have sworn by the quality of football and constant uniform change that MSU was in the SWAC

Actually yes we do. We are 2-3 in the greatest conference in all of the land. You are 1-4 in the fifth best conference in the country. Thanks for playing.

That's because LSU fans are ashamed of their student body.

My guess is that after losing the Battle for the Boot two years in a row, The LSU asb thought they should make a trophy with Ole Miss, so that they could have that thing every year.

Little did they know...

And you have conference wins against Vandy and Arkansas, who is pretty equal to Kentucky IMO.

Winning in the SEC starts with recruiting.

Recruiting starts in your home state.

MS has two SEC schools in one state.

That game should be circled and planned for. Winning and recruiting start at home.

That's my opinion

I was just pointing em out, Red Dog. Arkansas>Kentucky, but I must say that the come from behind win over Kentucky was actually pretty impressive. Dan the Man certainly has state on the right track.

We have to beat LSU, or they'll take all of our in-state players.

I know that the state game is more important.
But that doesn't stop me from hating LSU more.

We were bitter rivals back way before my time, but It's been pretty one sided as of late.

Not according to Pank Reb

He claims that neither State or Ole Miss can win with home grown Mississippi high school athletes.
