relevance? do we now gauge a coach's value based on his performance against one team? using that metric, basically every coach in America is horrible.

At best in 2011, Lee managed the game. Total offense rose the second Jefferson got meaningful snaps during games. We could not run or pass the first half against UGA, you are placing that blame solely on Jefferson? In case you forgot, the two bad games he had were against the #3 and #1 ranked defenses in the nation. We wore UGA down in the second half, but we could not do it against Bama. Lee would have looked just like he did in 2008, 2009, and 2011 against Bama, very bad.

Being a game manager is not a bad thing. LSU won two national titles with guys that people said "managed the game" (Mauck + Flynn). Lee threw a TD in the first 8 games he started (with two 3 TD games in there) and had 13 TDs and 1 Int. going into the Bama game. He had more 100+ yard passing games in 8 starts than what Jefferson had in 13 starts in 2010. A QB can have a bad outing.

JJ had less than 100 total yards in two games combined against UGA and Bama. Was that good?

It's not good to assume Lee would have just been terrible. If assumptions were always accurate, then you would have listed 2010 as a terrible year for Lee against Bama as well. I remember people thinking/assuming JJ would suck against Bama in previous years as well. Things panned out differently though.

Both players had value to the team at times and a championship game was not a good time to forget that.

You mean you would take Cam over Lane Kiffin who has won a National Title as an OC...got it. And don't worry I am here forever...I just hope you stick around.

This is homerism at its finest. If you would take Kiffin over Cameron, then that tells us all we need to know about you. Especially since you pointed out that you're not trolling either. Cam is a proven developer of QBs and our offense flourished under him last season after looking like garbage for several seasons before that. Do you think that was just luck?

I still can't believe he didn't play 12 on 1/9. That guy killed us the year before and he didn't see 1 play. Jj always played well against us too, but to not see the field was just crazy, especially the way jj performed.

Well, you've just hit a nerve there. Bama had the best team on the field that day, no question, but the Miles play calling was incomprehensible.

Maybe one of these days some player will reveal what was going on with the play calling, with 12, with the entire LSU game plan.

So Cameron controls the whole team including the defense? I'll ask for the first time. Are you that stupid and are you one of those homers that tries to say they would take Kiffin over Cam?

Sabans record at Alabama vs ULM? An equally pointless question.

Plus, LSU had no real problem moving the ball against Alabama.. especially in the first half. We should have scored 21 in the first half easily. Defense let us down, but that's what happens with a young unit.

I thought this thread was concerning LSU's QB situation. And what kind of idiot would brag about a record that has only been in effect for one season?

I take it it u do not know the answer. So let me help u out Phyllis, its 0-1. But its 1-0 against AU, who is 1-0 against your guy.

Now lets take a look at your coach. U know the one that blew the game on the stupid FG goal attempt and then held your entire school hostage. Gotta love, the send wife to Austin looking for real estate, ploy. That was a good one. He sure showed you guys who is running the University of Alabama. The football coach.

The same coach who couldnt get an OC candidate to even come for an interview who then found an ex head coach who couldnt get an interview with any school at any position.

They clearly need each other. Lets hope its a match made in heaven or these two are really going to be in trouble next go round.

Nobody knows. We won't know until kickoff against Wisconsin, is my guess.

Harris looked better during the Spring, but Jennings was still penciled in as the start on account of his experience. These two are going to battle it out through Fall camp. Anyone who says they know who will start is BSing you.

I think Harris is impressing the coaches enough to start, but it won't shock me if Jennings starts the Wisky game.

And that will be by design. Les Miles will want to keep the Wisconsin coaching staff guessing as to who will start for LSU.

So the unstoppable Cameron offense could not get it done vs Alabama with all that NFL talent? Your poor QB had to crawl off the field.

You are on a three game skid vs Alabama and what is your boy Les' record vs the Tide?

Les has done pretty well against Alabama. With the exception of the Bama's mulligan, Les has either beaten Alabama or lost by a close margin. I'm not sure what you are trying to prove.

LSU could be in the Golden Era right now,in the midst of a run unseen in college football history.
But Alabama stands in the way.

Just think,if Saban never comes to Bama. How many nattys would LSU have won? How would they have dominated the conference and indeed the country?

It would have been LSU UBER ALLES...would have been.Les Miles would be considered the best there is.
I begin to understand the bitterness.

I don't see the hype about C.C. LSU has great athletes, I mean last year they had 2 unbelievable wr, a stable or rbs, a good qb, they should score a lot of points. Was their offense as good as it should of been. No! I mean he is good, but saying he is great I just do not see at all. As for Lane Kiffin, I have no clue how he will be, but I would rather have him with Saban in control. We have a 5star wr commit, thanks to Kiffin. The last one of those was Julio and that worked out great. We also just landed a badass dual threat qb. So Kiffin is already doing great things in ttown in recruiting. If our past OCs could win national championships, there is no doubt a "terrible" ex sec head coach and "terrible" ex nfl head coach and a "terrible" ex national championship OC surely can as well. He may bust, if he does we will replace him. But I seriously doubt he does. I'm more excited about the offense this year then ever before. Not trolling C.C., just saying there is maybe 2 in the sec I believe is better. No not Kiffin at this point, but yal act like he is the greatest thing in the world. If he was half as good as chavis yal shouldn't ever lose a game!

One, it was CC's first year. Two, what he accomplished with having a 3,000 yd QB, a 1,000 yd RB, and two 1,000 yd WR's had never been done in the SEC before.
