Now give credit where credit is due, Bowl. It's not steroids but deer antler spray.

Harris - 46 carries, 157 yds, 3.4 ypc, longest 41, 1 TD

Bo - 18 carries, 104 yards, 5.8 ypc, longest 24, 1 TD

A 4-star true freshman.

A bunch of guys you've never heard of.

Yes, seriously. Inconsistent play is inconsistent play, regardless of whether they're a starter or a walk-on 3rd stringer.

My point stands. If you're going to use it as an excuse for Harris then you shouldn't be shitting on Fournette for the performance against Bama. It's that simple.

Are you seriously comparing our backup RB's performance in garbage time to what Alabama's defense did to Fournette and the L5U starting offensive line?

Are you a fricking idiot?

Nope.

His point was that Fournettes performance had much more to do with what bama did to LSUs offensive line than his own inability.

Gets it.

What was basically a simple question asking about our RB depth turned into a "you guys arent gonna be shite this year, your players have no experience" thread. The hate on Bama is real I see

Perhaps.

That said, I don't recall anyone saying that Bo is going to "run all over LSU", but we certainly heard that going into the LSU game.

My comment has nothing to do with Bo, nor what anyone said before the game.

It's pointing out the hypocrisy of some Alabama fans when it comes to Fournette.

I don't think it's terribly hypocritical if, leading up to the game, you're being told that a RB will gash you for 200 yards - and then call it out when that RB gains less than 40 for the game.

I mean, Alabama fans still hear from LSU fans that Henry is not in the same universe as LF. One could claim THAT is hypocritical considering Henry never had a game as bad as LF's versus Alabama.

Bama dominated the line, but Fournette also had a bad game. Tippy toeing, getting knocked backwards and dropped by 190 lb CBs. He wasn't strong mentally, either. Got down on himself and his team.

Bama will be fine at RB, I'm sure they have a couple of guys that can carry the ball.

I thought Henry was a system back and our Oline made him what he was? If so, who cares who the back is, right?

Or is Henry now incredible and impossible to replace?

I can't keep the talking points straight.

No, it is hypocritical to do that and then use the Oline as an excuse for Harris though.

Which was my point.

Sure he had a bad game, but if you blame Fournette for it, at all, you have to admit that Harris may not be very good then. Unless you don't mind being hypocritical, of course.

See above for my point.

I can't believe that anyone is honestly questioning Alabama's RBs quality or depth.

Couple of 5 stars guys in scarbo and harris, with bj emmons and jacobs coming in for depth. Since our ol is probably going to be pretty great this session, they should do very well. Lots of different types of backs, scarbo is like a quicker henry, harris is very much like ingram, emmons is very much like gurley coming out of hs, crazy mix of power, speed, and shiftyness. Jacobs has a game like drake

Nor I......whoever is starting will be a quality SEC RB. I wouldn't expect much if any of a drop off.

Alabama churns out QB's like butter in your eyes but you are worried about their running backs? hehe.

I am gonna go out on a limb and say they will have a stable of monsters. I actually think our RB stable is better this year though so should be fun
