I don’t know what they are going to do on offense, but I’ve got to imagine Gus will turn that side of the ball around somewhat.
Their defense, however, is going to be fricking abysmal. They had a major downgrade at DC and even with Muschamp it was questionable. They have poor depth at DB and Steele is going implement a pass defense that turned #1 LSU pass defense, with the same 5* players, into a laughing stock.
They also return only 60% of their contribution from last year on that side of the ball.
It’s going to be a bad year for Auburn defense. Bad, bad, bad year. Kevin Steele is SO bad and they do not have “Alabama” type talent to overcome his shortcomings.

Said positive things about Auburn. But he did not mention Gus. That is very telling

It's possible they start out 1-3 in 2016 and very probable they start 2-2. I don't know what A&M looks like going into next season, but they generally start pretty well before fading later.

Defense will be OK. If the offense doesn't get fixed (which is likely) then it doesn't matter what happens on defense.

One of my close buddies is an AU grad. He's over my house for this years IB. I told him at halftime that AU can win if they keep feeding Jovon Robinson and make a player or two. But Gus takes the ball out of Robinson's hands. Gus' overthinking small stuff gets him in trouble on gameday, and his loyalty to Lashlee is going to get him fired.
I agree with all of this.
