I understand what you are saying, but you need to realize that we did everything we could to continue the game. What more could A&M or the SEC have done to keep it going?
At some point you just have to move on and live your life.
BTW, A&M's official stance on the game is still "anytime, anywhere." Just so you know where the blame truly resides.
I'm blaming Texas, not A&M. Texas thought they could somehow punish or destroy A&M by blackballing them and isolating them from the rest of Texas. If anything the opposite has happened. Texas recruits have been flocking to A&M and other SEC schools. If UT had kept playing A&M, not much would have changed for Texas schedule wise. Now instead of a Texas recruit choosing between Texas, A&M, or OU, they are having to decide between SEC football or B12 football. And we all know who is going to win that battle. Texas is the biggest loser from refusing to play because they now have only one game on their schedule that their fans truly care about.

the bull shite personal foul call in the 2011 game that extended the final drive
That still pisses me off. We won that damn game.

Right now there is too much bad blood with A&M being perceived as the ones who left the rivalry and destroying UT's conference in the process.
The sad thing is, everyone else in the nation views it as UT ruined the Big 12/SWC. The whole Longhorn Network says all that needs to be said about Texas' attitude. How many schools have to say frick this to that conference? You can almost make a conference out of the teams that willingly left.
Even with Kevin Sumlin looking like he's not the answer they expected, A&M can't do worse than 8–5 in a conference loaded with superior competition. I was born too late to truly feel the animosity Arkansas fans had for UT in the SWC days, but the prima donna, entitled, childlike attitude is enough to make me hate that team all the same. Not even Notre Dame is that bad; they at least have the decency to stay out of a conference if it's going to be them lording over everything.

The line judge who called the bullshite personal foul call in the 2011 game that extended the final drive openly bragged on texags about his bias and was outed shortly after the game. Unless we can guarantee that the officials are completely neutral, you can't assume we would win based on talent alone.

But it was a bullshite call, and it was an exhibition in the officiating bias that Arkansas and Texas A&M had to deal with for decades when playing the Longhorns.

Not to mentioned tu put pressure on the rest of the Big 12 to avoid playing us as well.
Maybe Texas is just tired of the bitch.

Think about this A&M...you are probably sitting on a 5 game win streak over Texas if the rivalry never ended.

and here come the pathetic losers from Austin to play goalie on another conference's message board. Sad!

You can say what you want, but losing that game in 2011 ridded us of Mike Sherman who had no intention of ever playing Johnny Manziel. So there's all of that...
But it was a bullshite call, and it was an exhibition in the officiating bias that Arkansas and Texas A&M had to deal with for decades when playing the Longhorns.

A&M doesn't join the SEC = Mike Sherman not fired = Jameill Showers, not Johnny Manziel, at QB = Undefeated Alabama (A&M was their only loss) vs. Undefeated Notre Dame.

It's really not that difficult: Starting threads about Texas will draw Texas posters. I would think even aggy could muster up the cognitive capacity to figure that out.

Yep. Our schedule sucks. It would be much better with a big rivalry game against Texas A&M that can also be marketed as a Big 12 vs SEC matchup. This year's home schedule makes me want to weep. It blows.

I hope they renew the rivalry.
I used to think it would be cool if they did, but I'm liking the annual game at the end of the season with A&M. I'm still not thrilled with it being on TG night when it's at A&M, but the end of the season sure seems to be a good time to play them. Of course, it used to be a pretty good time to play us until they tried it. I'd be cool with A&M and Texas playing again if they played at some other time of the season.

Most of our fans have moved on and really no longer feel the necessity to play tu after how it all went down. We love being in the SEC and feel like we should have been here all along.
