I would have to see how it plays out again...in 2007, UGA finished tied with UT with a 6-2 record, but lost to UT straight up, so the Vols played LSU in Atlanta...UGA fans felt though that they had the better team because their 2 losses were closer than UT's, even though the Vols went 4-1 in the East compared to UGA going 3-2. They said that the Vols got blown out by UF while UGA beat the Gators meant that UGA was the better team...
It's a little different last season because we didn't finish tied with UGA in conference record, even though we went 5-0 to their 4-1 in our division, and beat them straight up. Plus we went 3-1 versus our toughest 4 opponents compared to UGA going 0-4 versus theirs.
Still, we lost versus Auburn playing a terrible offensive game, and that reason alone takes away our chance to make any claims about being top team in the East last season. It doesn't take away our position to be skeptical about UGA's feelings of being a contender for the SECT or dare say the NC: not to say that it couldn't happen...it's more of a "see it to believe it" kind of thing...

LSU proved they were great by beating some great teams. If UGA cakewalks into the SEC title game, they are no more respectable than Boise beating up average teams and crying when no one votes for them.

USMC... are you nuts? Samuels didntbeat us last year...our charitable offense did in the second half. We couldnt run the ball and we were forced to throw and UGA knew it...too many three and outs and mis steps in 2nd half. Samuels? I could have ran the ball when our defense worn out. We didnt deserve to win...you cant run...you cant win.

You weren't pretty good last year, so I don't know where the "finally acknowledge" comes from. You did not play arky, LSU, or bama from the West, and you got beat by the better team in the East. You got skull fricked by LSU in the SEC Champ game, then lost your bowl. If you had been in the West, you would have likely lost 4-5 games last year, not counting whatever you did in your bowl game....or even if you would have had the schedule that SC plays.

If Georgia actually beats some good teams this year, then I will think they are good. I don't have a problem with that.
Until that happens, I think they are overrated with an easy schedule.
I really don't think they were as good as their record indicated last year. The 4 teams they played that won 10+ games all beat them.
