I will say that LSU, Alabama, South Carolina all had catastrophic injuries

So the ONLY chance we have to win the east is for south frickin carolina to be hurt? Ok buddy.

Those teams have been down, and it seems like y'all won't recognize that, or the fact that they may get up and beat y'all.

This is one argument that has always infuriated me, I may start a thread on it later. How come if UGA does well it's because others are down, and why doesn't it work both ways?

In the 90s when UF and UT were rolling how come nobody said "well it's really because UGA is down right now". When UF won the east in 06 how come it wasn't because we were down? Or in 2010 when SC won when we were down? I feel like when any other team wins the east it's because they rose up and really achieved something, but all 4 times we've done it it's only been because other teams were down. wtf mate

The real story is Bama, LSU, and South Carolina all being taken out by the NCAA at the same time.

I don't really think we have to worry about SC being taken down for us to have a chance to make it to Atlanta.

the thread is not just about making the SEC title game. Its about winning the whole damn thing.

If UGA wins, its b/c three better teams were dealing with major injuries.

That same doofus dialed up 2 4th down touchdowns on you last year,

Nope. He didn't do shite to me. I would have had my head on a swivel and intercepted those two 4th down passes.

The 247 guy did a break down of the players Pease had to work with at Boise vs. UF today. It was interesting. He's got bigger faster players now. Let's see if he can utilize in a similar fashion.

2012 success would be a welcomed surprise. 2013 is when things should get interesting for us.

Oh jesus people say this about every team every year. The SEC has been "down" for about 10 years running at this point according to someone. It's not a UGA thing at all.

well SC is in the east chief, so to win the whole thing we would be in the SECCG instead of them.

Don't really know why you'd say SC is better than us as things stand right now.

and then you would have to beat either Alabama or LSU, two teams that will only lose to Georgia if major injuries are involved.

and I think USCe is better b/c of their coaching. Never mind they beat UGA in Athens last year.

Difference is both have had somewhat of a scandal occur with their coaching staff in the last decade, you haven't.

Fulmer->Kiffin->Dooley, in a blink of an eye
Meyer leaves seemingly overnight.
Perception dictates to many that these are the two biggest programs in y'alls division, for many. That's why people say that.

Seems as though Georgia has accepted Richt's inability to take y'alls program to the next level. As an LSU fan, looking back at the past season-trust me-all people want is a damn national championship, SEC title is nice for someone who has never been the BCS championship.
Richt seems like a nice guy and all, but the yearly lapses are what drives the critics.

Right, but to play either bama/LSu you're saying we need some miracle or injuries to SC, which isn't the case.

By 3, in a game where we gave them 28 points. I'm no fortune teller, but I really don't see us spotting them 4 touchdowns again this year.

I would wonder how bad the SEC was if UGA wins.

You sure can play both sides of the fence brother.

Pease is the big unknown for me and how he's able to get his offense installed. I'm hopeful based on his past performance against BCS teams I'm hopeful that by October this will be accomplished but it's certainly not a given.
Running backs will be Mike Gillislee, Mack Brown, Jr., Omarius Hines at times and Trey Burton. This is not ideal but MG is serviceable and Mack was highly recruited but it's time for him to get off the stick.
I'm not sure what a team that starts out at 7 or 8 vs a team that starts out at 20 has to do anything in October since that is likely to change in either direction for both teams. It's not where you start you know.
My hope is that Bobo goes full Bobo and that Murray is more concerned with all kinds of different sex acts throughout the year.

You forgot Matt Jones.

Did you make that that real quick or already have it saved?

And btw, Richard Samuel was a 5*, 6'1" 220 pound RB/LB out of high school and he sucks.

It depends on Matt. He spent most of his SR season injured.

What does Samuel have to do with Matt Jones WG?

Samuels a 5* ????? thats news to me. Where did that lofty rating come from? I run quicker than him.

Back to thread...UGA isnt going anywhere..they are in groundhog hell and keep repeating the same crap. Remember 2008 mutts..preseason everything, the darling favorites of the medias...UGA & the girls school..AKA Florida State College for Women are so alike...last year the girls school was annointed definite BCS title contender and placed at a lofty # 5 ranking...shame the games had to be played and teams like Wake Forest & Vagina beat the snot outta of them....anyway...UGA fell on its face in 2008. Dawgs were getting surly and then thugster Crowell was caught protecting his stash and cash...now they are wondering....they know they have Richt as a HC who can screw up at anytime. He has let Boise and Michigan State have their way with him and ruined SEC image. He will do it again...UGA no better than 9-3...possibly even 8-4 and will watch the SECG at home on TV.
