41-7 really hurt, huh?

I think Ms Garrison rustled him pretty good earlier. I think this is his response thread.

Pruitt?

7 points for an offense averaging 38 up to that point ... That's a pretty good day for UGA, and bad for Gus' offense.

You guys did very good against it last year but Pruitt did not fair as well against it in the National Championship game with more talent to work with

So dont be so quick to crown him just yet

Lets give it another game or so

They've gotten worse each season under Malzahn.

Malzahn couldn't win the SEC and go to the NC two years in a row!? What a loser!

Say huh? They've had elite seasons, but they've not been consistently "elite" in their history, so I doubt they expect Muschamp to be what makes them something they've never been - even when he was there the first time.

Precious. It hurt your redneck sidewalk arse too much to not go an entire post without your typical 'roll damn bryant' comment.

Props though, you got close...so close

AU has the pieces on offense to be really good. Good QB (although not experienced), good OL, very good RBs, and probably the best WR in the SEC. They also have enough good players on defense to improve with a better DC. Whether or not Malzhan "has been figured out", I don't know. But this will probably be his best "post Cam" team from a talent standpoint. Their schedule is also a lot more forgiving than last year. I don't see them finishing worse than 2-3 in the west with a legit shot at finishing 1st. Who knows with the west this year. Everyone outside of MS should be improved (or at least stay the same).

What did I say that was inaccurate? Help me out. When has AU been CONSISTENTLY elite in their history? I'm not talking about an elite season (2004, 2010, 2013). I'm talking about multiple top 10 seasons in a row (like 2, for example). AU has famously gone more than a quarter of a century without back to back 10 win seasons (late 1980's was the last time...none of today's players were even ALIVE the last time you guys put together back to back 10 win seasons). Is that the mark of an elite team?

(Btw - I'm too young to be a "roll Bryant" guy. My generation can't stand the "Bear woulda" guys).

LSU is down

LSU fielded one of the least experienced teams theyve had in the past 10 years and throughout the league, and still managed to get 8 wins without a QB while also having the #1 defense in the sec. I think we'll be alright next year.

Idk but im all for it. Every year they are hyped they blow it. When they have no expectations they randomly make a title run, if there's money in the bank.

I had to fix that a little, but I agree.

JJ looks like a stud, they have a high scoring offense and Muschamp. I wouldn't sleep on Auburn this year.

Other than Pruitt which DC has "figured him out"? It sure as hell hasn't been Saban or Smart. Gus has torched us.

Gus runs a downhill running, play action offense. Not a gimmick, not a spread team. Many use the word innovative.

Remember Gus inherited a team that went 0-8 in the conference. In two seasons he has an SEC championship and victories over every SEC team he has played.

The bait is a little obvious, but it is the off season.

We have a sample size of 2 for Malzhan at Auburn, a great 2013 and a pretty mediocre, almost sub-mediocre 2014.

Which one is more indicative of his future seasons? Well we don't know for sure, as the seasons tick by we'll know more.

It makes Auburn fans mad, but pretty much the entire world outside of Auburn views their 2013 season as largely a fluke. 2014's results reinforced that viewpoint.

If Auburn contends nationally again in 2015, Malzhan can prove himself a good coach. Any buffoon can luck their way into a great season or even win a championship, it's very difficult to make it happen multiple times.

However if Auburn comes out and goes something like 8-4 again, well that will continue to confirm what a lot of people think, 2013 was mostly a fluke and Malzhan is probably a 8-4 type coach.

There's plenty of buffoons that haven't lucked their way into anything, though. Luck or not, you still have to put yourself in the position to win those games.
I don't disagree with anything else you said. 2015 will be a good indicator.

Malzahn was responsible for vast improvement in 2009 with Chris freaking Todd as the QB, as well as the natty in 2010 (obviously with help from Cam Newton).
