LSU, and that is because of the new coaching changes on defense.

It worked in 12 because our defense was full of 2-3 yr starting seniors and was a top 50 unit. This year will be our most experienced defense since then.

Most State fans were glad to see Collins go. I know I was.

Guicy Geoff was solid but I can see why y'all are excited for Diaz's return.

I think all West teams have a shot this fall, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't one of the Big Six West teams, since that's how things work around here.

Not sure why LSU went with Kevin Steele.

"Steele's Baylor team was involved in what ESPN.com called one of the top 10 worst coaching decisions, in 1999, when he chose a running play rather than a kneel down with his team leading and possessing the ball in the game's final 12 seconds and the opponent (UNLV) out of timeouts. The ensuing Baylor fumble and UNLV return for a touchdown gave the Rebels a shocking win."

John Forney? You're posting from the grave?

How is the afterlife?

Pretty good. I do miss doing play by play for Bama.

Especially since they chose Corey Raymond over him for DB coach just a few yeas ago, but somehow Steele is the better choice now for DC?

Ironically, the knock on Steele is that he's a competent position coach but can't handle managing the whole defense or making the critical game time decisions.

Ole Miss or MSU

I'd be pretty surprised if Arky or LSU won

Mildly surprised if A&M won

Sums up my thoughts exactly.

I agree, nobody is head and shoulders above the rest, but it's probably gonna be Lsu, bama, or AU until one of the others prove otherwise.
