There are gentlemen everywhere, but there certainly aren't many of them in college anywhere. Sure there are a lot of Old Row frat boys playing pretend gentleman everywhere in the SEC, but the most important aspect of manhood is taking care of your responsibilities, and these "gentlemen" care more about drinking shitty beer than getting an education.
B...B...but they have a big truck and wear a Columbia jacket!

It's not wealthy in nearly any other state in America. Mississippi is home of the 30k millionaires.

This s/n describes Ole Miss accurately...looking to the past, not progressing. It's like stepping into 1985 going to that campus where everyone has an 1885 mentality.
They're too busy admiring their red brick "antebellum" buildings to realize everyone else has them too and aren't as enamored and in the meantime flying by them in progress, academics, endowments and with a head toward the future, not 1985.

Every asshat whose parents have enough money to buy them nice things thinks he's special.
"Oh you're wearing a PFG, did you come to the bar from the lake?" No? "You just wanted everyone to know your parents can afford an $80 fishing shirt? Cool. You should see if they can afford an $80 dress shirt so you don't look like trash in public.

People complain about hipsters, but I think this dynamic is infinitely worse.

I love how Ole Miss fans think dressing in hilariously outdated styles compensates for going to a glorified community college

This describes a subset of Ole Miss culture, not the whole. The University is doing great work. It's not being left behind.

Probably why Mississippi has no jobs and is the most uneducated and obese state. Half of ole miss' student body couldn't get into their own state's university... Bunch of losers

It's exactly the same, except these people will complain about hipsters

I politely removed myself, I could only take so much.
