I have been to a lot of them, they really have lost the "southern gentleman" vibe from earlier years.

My point.

People don't act like this in Oxford.

People don't act like this anywhere. It's the Internet.

Plenty of people do, even in fraternities.

And by southern gentleman you of course mean fraternity date rapists?

From your posts I can only assume by gentleman you mean outspoken racist, in which case I think losing that vibe is a good thing.

I love how Ole Miss fans think dressing in hilariously outdated styles compensates for going to a glorified community college

You can keep your UnderAmour hoodies. Bow-ties are for real men.

People in Mississippi are very wealthy from what I can gather. And that is in addition to being classy.

Sounds like some sort of utopia.

It is. It dates back to a long tradition of fine families and high-culture. Much of the wealth in early America resided in north Mississippi.

It is misunderstood by much of "the north," I am surprised and dismayed to hear it misunderstood by fellow southerners.

Ole Miss = arrogant, privileged assholes and that doesn't = "southern gentlemen." Worse yet, the ones who aren't privileged still think they are.

Hard to say any one school more than another. If I had to go on rep alone I would guess the ones with the least amount are Florida (not really the south), LSU, and Mizzou (Yankees).

If you get past the homo-eroticism of A&M they might have the most mannerly guys due to the discipline of the cadets.
