Yes if it's true that Chavis wanted a guaranteed job then I think LSU made the best choice by agreeing to let him walk.

How many of you would turn down a 400k pay raise annually and an additional fourth year? Building that retirement nest.

More money, nice new stadium upgrades, better overall school, bigger commitment to winning now (hand in hand with the money), better overall state, etc. Some sluggishness right now with Miles and the LSU program. Ultimately, I think it is questionable whether LSU can keep up with A&M if they ever get it going. LSU has the advantage of being the only show in a football-crazy and talent rich state, but that is where the advantages end.

You are severely underestimating the advantage LSU has regarding talent. Numbers dictate Texas has more d1 prospects, but Texans tend to kind of be pussies. A Louisiana all star team would smoke a Texas all star team. And, like you said, A&M has to take UT's leftovers.

guaranteed job

Read on the scoreboard it wasn't a guaranteed JOB that he wanted but a better buyout -- seems the current offered contract is for 6 months pay if Les goes and he wanted a better "buyout" or compensation.

IDK .. just sharing what was elsewhere.

That's actually correct. "Chavis" is singular.

You are making entirely too much sense itt and I, for one, don't appreciate it. I'm scrolling, minding my own business, looking to downvote you, and then you make me feel bad.

Not cool, man. Not cool
