LSU flopped the year before going 4-7 and was not even ranked. AU pounded LSU that game, show some class don't add insult to injury.
I would not feel the same if AU had done this after beating a good team.

In hindsight, we should thank you. It set in place DiNardo's decline and eventually led to LSU hiring Saban.
Just as the 1994 epic fail by Jamie Howard and Lynn Amedee led to the firing of Hallman which eventually led to the magic being resurrected in Tiger Stadium in 1995.

It wasnt really about the team they beat. It was Tubs Birthday/first SEC victory cigar.

Wait, so you're saying that the AU players should have waited until the end of the season to evaluate whether a win against an SEC opponent was cigar worthy?
Even better, maybe they wait a few years! Evaluate the players from that team that made it in the NFL and, according to the quality of those players, determine the quality of the cigar to buy, go BACK to Tiger Stadium, get sideline passes from the team, and smoke it then! WOW! The LSU nancy-boys would experience EXTREMELY heavy flow over that shite!

First year coach on his birthday after we had just won 3 games (only one against an sec school) the previous season. Just some facts to add if you really want to be fair about all the circumstances surrounding it.
