With all the Perrilloux's and other thugs getting constant praise for doing nothing but making a few plays in high school, it's pretty refreshing to see a kid that loves the game, is passionate about it, has great values, and does things the RIGHT way. The media can shove that in my face all day long as long as it keeps guys like T.O., Chad Johnson, Ryan Perrilloux (guys that have won absolutly NOTHING), etc. off of my TV screen.

I think the better question is what is it about Oklahoma that makes the media go "gah-gah" over them? You would have sworn that Florida was losing 35-3 last night until midway through the 4th quarter.

Oklahoma is one of those teams (like Notre Dame and USC) that if they are a good team, the media takes that and runs with it until they are proclaimed unbeatable. Last night the media reached a crescendo.

I thought the Fox tv and radio announcers were going to pull it out and pop one off to Sam Bradford last night.

as to the original post....could it be that you're so average or maybe less, and he is in no way average...on or off the field...envy and jealously often disguise themselves quite well within the maze of lying eyes...think about it

Sure. Thats if you're a complete arse and envy those who have a clue. I said in the original post, it has nothing to do with ability or LSU rival, because I can care less about JPW, Stafford, Knoshawn, Manning(s), Harvin, McFadden, ect.

It is very simple. Two reasons.

1. He is not a Tiger.

2. He claims to be a Christian, and actually lives it

1. no, see original post.
2. no, I like the fact that the kid has done more things outside of football in 3 years than most christians will do in their entire lives. It something more along the way he conducts hiself on the field.

Not realy, he takes "hits" and usually gets the best out of the hit. He's is such a force that it's rare for him to get knocked back.

If Tebow were a tiger and we had just won another NC I'd be ecstatic, true, but I would also be a little embarrassed for the all out over hyped covereage of the guy and frankly his histrionics on the field. I'd prefer that he be the same type of valliant competitor without all the rah rah cheer- for- me type of actions between plays. It's getting old. He needs to be more workman like and humble. One thing he's not is humble.

Tebow is comparable to Jim Brown in his era. He's bigger, faster and stronger. It seems unfair sometimes. When he came out focused in the second half, there was no way OU was going to beat UF. He definitely picked up the whole team in the second half. OU got to see what the SEC is sick of: TEBOW.

I think he's great. Great player and seemingly great young man, too. When he expresses his faith,it comes across as genuine.

He's wearing a flak jacket that has nearly 8 inches of padding.

Do you honestly think the first time he goes running against the pros that some LB (or S - Troy Polamalu comes to mind) isn't going to knock him into next week?

He'll be a great addition to the Montreal Alouttes.

Tim Tebow is on roids. He's not an NFL type QB. Can't read defense...he's a fullback playing QB and he'll fail the NFL steroid testing...book it!

BUT HE IS NOT, SO DEAL W/ THE CHARACTER HE HAS BECOME.

We all know about the missionary work, we all know about the starving children he has fed, we all know about how humble he is....huh???

NO HE IS NOT, YOUR GOLDEN BOY WAS FLAGGED FOR UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT, yes, unsportsmanlike for getting in an okie's face after the game was over. WOW.

He is an athlete, but he is all about himself.

A lot of people do not like Tebow because he is what they will never be, a highly talented sucessful, natural born leader.

If he's such a great person, then why the "Chomp" late in the 4th?
