Why are you taking this position when your school is currently a lot closer to a basketball national title than an SEC title?

I love Florida basketball but I'm much more invested into college football as a whole than college basketball. I could name maybe 10 college basketball players outside of Florida's team. Outside of Florida I haven't watched an entire college basketball game all year. I love basketball and follow the NBA but it's really hard to watch college ball. If they make the players stay two years the quality of play will increase dramatically. That said, our national title bball teams were incredibly fun to watch. Our current team is honestly kinda boring.

On the other hand, I watch as many SEC football games as I can. The rush of winning a championship in football is just 50x greater.

We haven't won an NCAA Tournament Game since 1971 so I can't fully comprehend what winning a Basketball national championship would feel like. With that said, I'm choosing an SEC Championship.

Exactly. Both would be firsts and I'd rather have it be a football first.

Been worth about 20 years of trash talk and 10 years of unreachable expectations.

I would prefer a national title in basketball to one in football....at least for a year or two. I would not have said that in 2008 of course, but after winning 3 of 5 in football, I would love to have a basketball one. Bruce Pearl please.

Football national titles are a dime a dozen--or 15.

I'd love a basketball title.

I don't understand this among our fans. The variability involved in winning a basketball title is high. Plus with Florida ripe for football recruiting, we will always be in a decent position to win a title even after our worst years. Donovan, as big a figure in college bball as he is and after 3 straight Elite 8s, still has to battle to sell our program to recruits. I would take a basketball natty over a conference title.

We got spoiled from the back to back titles.

Coming out of a field of 65+ teams to win it all is one hell of an accomplishment. Hell, just getting to the final 4 in itself was a blast..and you would still rather see a conference title in football?

You talk fricking crazy I say.

As you are a Gator, you don't have to worry about winning the SEC in football anytime soon!

I think a football SEC title and a basketball national title are exact equals.

It would be really hard for me to decide. Great comparison.
