A&M had Manziel (who was a 3 star), Mike Evans (3 star) and a bunch of other 3 star recruits (defense) with a few 4 star recruits (O-line).

Our losses have been to teams like Florida, Auburn, Bama, & LSU who consistently have top 10 classes...if not top 5 classes.

Manziel is a stud, but its painfully obvious that he couldn't make up for the overall lack of talent on the defense against the best teams. We have had zero depth the last 2 years, especially on the defensive side. Lots of true freshmen starting, and even some converted offensive players playing defense to make up for the lack of depth. IMO, the loss of Manziel/Evans will have a smaller impact than the overall improvement of the defense and influx of 4 & 5 start talent.

A&M currently has a consensus Top 4 recruiting classes, along with the #1 QB recruit in the country and multiple 5 star players. We have 6 of the Rivals100, and 5 of those are on defense. The combination of Sumlin & the SEC has made A&M into a National recruiting power.

If you look at the entire picture, A&M should improve.

According to rantards, we'll be dead last in the SEC West. So, if we're still in the top half of the conference, I expect all of you mother frickers to be licking Sumlin's balls this time next year for pulling off such an incredible coaching miracle.

Even with Manziel, A&M could not get into the top 10, so without him...?

We finished 5th with him last year alter

Having watched them play I think they are on the same defensive program as my Hogs are, what is this defense you speak of.

With $500 million in new football facilities to make them the best in NCAA football, a good Coaching staff, and Texas as a recruiting base, Aggies will be fine.

Lot's of posters having trouble coping with the realization that the Aggies are moving up to be a heavyweight.

There will be a long line of naysayers to kneel and lick Sumlin's balls.

Well, to be fair, A&M couldn't finish in the top half of the division with the greatest player in A&M history this year. Bottom half of the West for next year wouldn't be SN outlandish prediction for A&M

This is the wrong reaction to this stuff. First, that might not happen. Second, this is the time to undersell. Er'body wants to talk about how bad we're going to suck? Let 'em. When Sumlin do what Sumlin do, they'll have trouble getting out of the corner they've painted themselves into.

Trolling aint what it used to be...

I am appreciative that JFF gets so much respect around here.

Now Sumlin is going to get that much respect if he manages to win a single SEC game next year. Good times!
