maybe you're right, but you will all look dumb as frick if you're wrong and everyone will say they told you so because Bama does this every year.

No doubt. But let's get real, Alabama fans could beg aTm not to beat them and be nice as hell all week and act scared as shite...and if Alabama loses, we're still gonna catch shite for literally months. Might as well discuss the damn game like we see it.

And, it goes both ways. We'll predict a blowout, get called delusional, Alabama will win by 40, and everyone will forget about it until the next time Alabama fans expect a blowout. I'm not complaining, but there is really no winning with opposing fans.

I like it, my man

Any of y'all going to the game? Just found out I have a ride up to Tuscaloosa from Florida. Thinking I'd be an idiot to miss this one. Gotta get my ducks in a row first, though.

Well if you want to be real - this will be the most physical game either team plays all year on both sides of the ball. That vegas line is complete bullshite, but it's a reflection of the fact that people don't really know what to expect going into this game. It's hard to see how well these teams match up because this year both have gone away from their traditional bread and butter and really have taken completely different identities than they have in the past 5 years. Because of this, people are intimidated and afraid to pick against Bama because they've never seen Bama with this kind of offense. That won't scare a good defense, and despite the contentions otherwise, A&M has a very good defense.

Were you missing any DTs? I know Myles was basically a non factor due to injury, and you had a linebacker get banged up during the game.

That is exactly what I though, or would have thought, 3 weeks ago.

But now I think Alabama is back to their old ways of crushing souls through the run game. They wanted to get Hurts as many reps through the air as possible early on. It's obvious that he isn't going to make a MASSIVE leap in that department(he'll make some big plays through the air but misses just as many) so they've said frick it we're just going to run over fools. Alabama is scary when they have an identity. I think they've found it.

And I know aTm has a great run game and that's different for them, but shite, it's so hard to run on Alabama. Like, it's almost impossible. Knight's 53% completion rate won't help nigh either.

That's just what I think about the game.

And no sharps crushing aTm when the line gets above 17 is alarming as well. It's not really the size of the line, it's that it doesn't look like any pro gamblers care that it crosses important numbers.

I hear you. And believe me, I wouldn't be shocked at all if Alabama is in a dog fight all damn game.

I'm just sharing my opinion on what I think some signs mean surrounding the game.

You guys have literally not faced a top 50 rush offense this year.

Not. One.

A&M is #7 nationally.

And when I was talking about completely different identities, I was also mentioning defense. Bama's defense is very different this year in that it is based less on consistency and more on high-risk / high-reward. Very similar to A&M's defense; focuses on turnovers and creating big plays.

No doubt. I don't understand why teams don't test the secondary more. I'm talking straight 50/50 balls. Launch some shite. How many of Alabama's picks are on nicely played deep balls in good coverage or longer passes to the sideline? It ain't many. Hell they get flags called on them on those plays more often than not

And again, I knew y'all have a VERY good and dynamic running game.

It's freakin' hard to run on them, man. It's just, it's hard.

I do know Arkansas and Tennessee would be top 50 rush offenses, if you take out their Alabama games. Southern Cal and Kentucky, too.

Probobly the same thing but maybe they win by less than 19 if that happens unless A&M can't stop theirs of course then who the hell knows how bad a beating it could be.

Why would a team who just ran for 438 yards give a shite about a pass rush? You aren't fricking playing Greg McElroy this weekend.

The most likely thing is that they settle in to run for 350+ yards and only win by a couple of scores.

Probably just run it every play down TAMU's noodle arm tackling defense's throat holes.

I heard a stat the other day that was surprising. Supposedly Texas AM missed more tackles in the UT game alone than Bama has missed all year. I don't remember the numbers, but does that mean Alabama are great tacklers, or TAMU are poor tacklers, or both?
