2 games in a brand new defense with a brand new DC.
other than that I see talent everywhere.

Key looks like a less talented version of Kiki Mingo. He has 3 sacks, but has not been a consistent factor when it comes to disrupting the QB. LSU needs a game changer on the interior. They just have a bunch of bodies there, but no real talent.

Key is a beast. Defense will be fine.

The word beast gets thrown around rather loosely. He looks serviceable as a pass rusher and nothing more.

Defensively LSU is decent, but they need to be dominant because of their offensive woes. They will give up 30 + in 4 or 5 conference games and won't be good enough to carry the team to victory on multiple occasions.

We only won by 7 less points than the GoatGumps,
to the FCS national runner up,
without our starting tailback,
and with a qb that had never taken a snap for us.

Yeah, LSU was lackadaisical.

Watch what happens to State this weekend. Oh wait, they got beat by South Alabammer, so that won't really count either.

Hey, one of your own fans said your guys were sleepwalking last Saturday due to the Wisky loss. The only point I was trying to make is "if" they were indeed sleepwalking, looking lethargic and lackadaisical early in the season and coming off a loss, then Les has serious issues with the mental stability of his team.

Now, I saw a visible change in the players once Etling took the field and when the offense opened up and executed. So we'll see if that energy and renewed enthusiasm can carry over to their SEC opener vs MSU.

But if your guys were lethargic and lackadaisical (sleepwalking) in the 2nd game of the season then that's unacceptable.

Nope. Not at all unacceptable for LSU fans. They expect to win the NC but they don't understand what kind of team you need to do that.

That's why when Les's teams are out of shape, ill disciplined, poorly prepared, poorly coached and poorly motivated, Les isn't held accountable for that because he manages to go 9-3. That's acceptable, so, all of the other stuff I mentioned is also acceptable.

It would NOT be acceptable at Alabama, but, if you mention all of this to a stupid LSU fan, he will threaten you with bodily harm, shout some obscenity at you and tell you to, "GO ROOT FOR SABAN, YEW SACK OF shite".

So, I say, au contraire, it is indeed acceptable. By the way, stupid LSU fan, you need a shower. Take a look at a Stingray video. Say what you want about him but he appears to have acceptable personal hygiene.

I am just hoping that they are still learning to play the 3-4. I really don't like Key playing OLB, he is much more suited for DE. I hate Godchaux playing DE, he is to big and not fast enough off the edge. Honestly I think our personnel is better suited for the 4-3. We have given up some big plays so far in two games. I am more concerned about scoring defense then total yards given up. We are currently 29th in scoring defense with only Florida, Alabama and A&M ahead of us.

49 Key the looks a lot smaller, has thinned down to play 3-4 OLB and has not been as effective.

He has 3 sacks in 2 games, but yeah, you're right.

Godchaux is listed at 299. Bama's DE's are 291 and 307. Godchaux is not too heavy for DE in a 3-4. The position is completely different than DE in a 4-3.
