I've questioned LSU's mental strength for a few years now due to their mindset after a Bama loss. It appears they take a bad attitude instead of bucking up and fighting on for the remainder of the schedule.

And if a multimillion dollar a year HC can't recognize the fact that he needs to manage his the focus and attention of his players throughout the entire year and get them mentally strong as well as physically strong then that can become a serious issue in the long run.
This is out of my arse 100%, but it feels to me as though the coaching staff puts too much emphasis on the bama game.
Well, the long run is coming to an end for Miles. It may be too late to work on the mental aspect of his team at this point. IDK?

Les Miles gave up on trying to win anything after he lost to Saban in the National Championship. Ever since that night hes just tried to do the status quo not to get fired. Unfortunately for him his time is up and will be replaced after the regular season is over.

With such a large frame (6'6) he makes a better DE prospect than OLB for NFL. There was a time when I thought he could be #1 overall pick similar to Clowney. But not at 238, and not playing OLB. Nfl DE requires 260 minimum.

I refuse to give up hope until LSU drops an SEC game that they should normally win.
They lose to MSU and Miles will probably be let go mid season because there will be complete and utter mutiny. The optics are not the same, as LSU kicked the can down the road when it comes to the school's financial woes from last season, and his buyout is over 50% less.
He loses this game and he loses the fans. Any chance at filling the stands vs Mizzou would be interim HC.

He literally just got here with a brand new system.
Impossible to make a judgement on Aranda currently.

If your team was sleepwalking after a season opening loss, then your problems are a lot more mental than physical.
I agree wholeheartedly. The whole Miles issue is a dark cloud again in BTR. I think he "lost" the team in the Wisc loss and it is going to take some serious improvements to win them back. I think he is on the verge of losing LF too. You can tell he is sick and tired of pulling the plow and the result is lackluster play from his teammates.
What I saw last weekend when Etling came in was a lift in spirit of the whole team more than the paltry stats. We will see what happens this week with Moo State at home. This is their opportunity to get their arse back in gear.

Yeah, 3 straight touchdown drives will do that to a team.

They look slow because they have not Learned Arrandas system yet so they are thinking not reacting. They should not be an issue when we play u guys

Aranda is stabilized as long as Miles is stabilized at LSU.
Who knows, Tom Herman and Aranda have some history together. It wouldn't surprise me too much if Herman kept Aranda if he came to LSU.
What WOULD surprise me is if Herman actually replaced Miles.

I agree with much of this thread and most Tigers before Danny Boy stepped on the field thought the same
As a fan now many but not all are waiting on the MSU game to see if normal breaks out !
Have fun with it while you can
