This coming from the second largest growing sidewalk fan base in America. The new generation of rejects from UGA due to the HOPE is pretty much watering down your own fanbase. Probably didn't see that one coming when UGA was still relatively small.

I can't believe we're taking academics seriously. I mean, why would we ever do that

The idea that all Auburn students are mutt rejects is something their own dipshit fan base created out of thin air to feel better about themselves since they have so few legitimate reasons to do so.

It is especially comical considering I have seen information on twitter that Stanford University sends out to their prospective football recruits showing Auburn grads actually make more money. I have seen similar information posted on this board

If you're claiming 5 national championships for UGA then Auburn can claim at least 6 and as many as 9 national championships

Well. You can't get much more official than that!

Now that the thread has lost steam and nobody is posting on it anymore, I noticed all the Auburn fans are coming back on and posting again. You guys have fun talking to yourselves!

I know. But how can you argue with "the Harvard of the state of Georgia"?

Or the fact that most of our former classmates from Metro ATL high schools that were rejected by UGA wound up (for a long time, anyway) at Auburn. Recently, they have started going to Ole Miss and Bama but only y'all seem so in denial when we bring it up.

Well, Georgia is a big State. What do you expect unless you increase your enrollment number to 400,000. UGA was in a position to play a "numbers game" and used that advantage by offering the HOPE. That is what happens when you have a sprawling number of kids growing up in your state vs. a University not big enough to fit those numbers. It's just math.

Que? I'd like to see some stats to back up whatever asinine point it is you're trying to make.

What are you talking about? watering down? It's the same now as it has been forever; you have people who have grown up UGA fans and always will be regardless of alma mater, those that were indifferent and became UGA fans after getting in, those that were fans then got pissed when they didn't get in, and those that were never fans at all. Same now as always. HOPE hasn't changed that. What HOPE HAS changed is the type of student that gets into UGA, and the students that are getting in now are far superior to those getting into auburn.

Oh, a source that's less credible than wikipedia? Well I saw a source on facebook that said auburnphan holds cocks in his mouth til the swelling goes down. Must be true I guess?

1) I highly doubt that's true, and would like to see some proof
2) Why would a school send out information to recruits saying that a backwoods school in another conference across the country makes more money than their own school?

Bama claims 14 don't they? Then why shouldn't we claim 5? We have finished atop a poll 5 times in our history so we might as well claim it. Btw, the school takes the high road and officially only claims 2...which is the same number that auburn has.

I only claim 2. I don't think we should claim 5, because we didn't deserve 5.

I agree, but if others play by those rules then we should too.

Of course it's just math, but the humor lies in the fact that some of the most vehement haters of UGA at Auburn were once those kids that were ardent UGA supporters before being denied out of HS. It doesn't mean that every kid at Auburn is a UGA reject, but it's easy to lean on and say that is the case when the vocal minority totally fits that bill.

Well I will take the actual data that Auburn provides themselves showing that only 10 or 12 percent of their students come from the state of Georgia over your claims. I also read read two or three years ago that 40 percent of their current students were legacies. That seems to leave little room for mutt rejects except in the delusional minds of mutt internet posters

I did, graduated in 4 years. I'm sure you didn't though. I can show you proof if you'd like.
