Y'all need to calm down someone asked about the rule I just tried to answer. I think saban was smart to hire someone away from freeze to help out like that, they sure had us figured out. Y'all's d was in perfect position every time.

Their D has been fairly solid in every game except against the team with the second best set of wide receivers in the SEC, TAMU.

It's just stupid all around. Do people seriously believe the consensus best defensive-minded head coach in college football today needs insider information to game-plan and call schemes to beat a good but not great offense?

I don't really care but why would one of the best coaches in the NFL setup cameras to do the same thing?

I reiterate, is it cheating?

yes

you're limited in how many coaches you're allowed to have working a game

Did you count all the Bama coaches, determine who was coaching that Game and know the # of coaches allowed?

You really do not have a clue if it was/is cheating by Bama having over the limit of coaches on Game day.

and I think you need to add that there is a difference between hands on coaching and being support people..I have seen support people all the time pat a player on the back and offer words of encouragement. Is that considering coaching.

Yeah. They were videotaping practices or something. A little different situation, don't you think.

I assumed it would be a bad spot or a phantom pass interference...but if this is the best you've got, do your thing. It's not like we expected to win without hearing the excuses.

Because studying game tape to actually cheat and paying a "traitor" hundreds of thousands of dollars a year to give you an advantage in a single game where you're easily favored against a team that hasn't beat you in almost a decade aren't quite the same things. If this had been against, say, LSU, I could almost see the logic, and even then I'd be extremely dubious, but we're talking about a perfectly normal situation where a coach goes from one job to another and behaves in no way that could be considered unusual...especially given that Ole Miss runs an offensive scheme that specifically contraindicates easy relaying of last-second defensive formations from the sidelines.

so your logic is that Bama hired this guy for one reason only and that was to help NS figure out how to beat Ole miss..You are pathetic if you truly believe this

You're not looking very hard then. But I know what you're saying. I've yet to meet an Alabama fan who actually went to school in Tuscaloosa but I know there's a few out there somewhere.

There's a rule about only have a designated amount of coaches, not sure if there's a rule about their role in the box though. He was definitely watching our sidelines and formations helping out though. Even if he didn't know the signals he probably figured them out by the second half, he knows the plays already.

Let's say for arguments sake, he knew all of the signals, Ole Miss runs a hurry up. By the time he reads the signal, Ole Miss is ready to snap the ball. How does he have time to relay the play to Kirby Smart, & have Kirby come up with the proper defense and then signal in a defense before the ball is snapped?

IMPOSSIBLE!

Yes I do.
Instead of going through all that trouble like the Pats did, Bama instead just hired a guy from the other team.
