yea....funny how that works, huh? apparently all these amazing athletes that have passed through LSU were all diehard LSU fans and had made up their minds to attend LSU when they were in the 6th grade.

He is a really good coach. That's why he's had a really good record. However, I do think a good portion of that success can be attributed to the high level of talent he has to work with year after year. And I believe there's a lot of coaches who could maintain that level of talent at LSU. Just my opinion...

The notion that any coach, not just Miles, has to prove they are good by not bringing in talent is misguided at best. I call it Phil Jackson's disease. If winning with great talent were easy, anyone could do it.

I didn't say this...you did. I know it's sarcasm and that's why I know you know it isn't what I meant.

I meant what I said. Nothing more, nothing less.

and what you meant is that Miles doesn't really have to coach/recruit because Louisiana is just stacked with all this talent that can't wait to play for LSU

saban built up the talent and built the fence around la in recruiting. Miles has done a great job of keeping talent up and mostly keeping the fence up even though it seemed like the fence had a monster hole last year.

as far as x and os go merlins clearly beats him but that can be said for every coach that goes against merlins.

Nice

Just don't ask him to score with 4 tries from the one or pass in a clear passing situation because he'll fool ya.

I really like the guy, but I believe he is every bit as dumb as his decisions indicate. Luckily he is witty and lucky as shite.

He is also a top-notch recruiter and has surrounded himself with some of the best coaches in football.

first year and working with retards that croom recruited. LSU had such a big talent advantage merlins had to try something different he just happened to have a mini frick for a qb. The game should have never been that close.

That explains the first one. What method of grindin' explains the second situation?

This.

All the fertilizer and paint in the grass he eats messes with his mind sometimes. It's hard to dislike the guy though, he wins some crazy games, and he fits at LSU perfectly. I can't even picture him coaching anywhere else.

the situation of the game being close? it was merlins coaching that kept it close.

Of course. I actually meant the Auburn game last year. I was trying to denote two different botches.
