I just looked at his last 4 recruiting classes at Wisconsin, they avg. around 60th in the nation. A couple of years ago it was ranked 87th. With the talent he has had to work with, he has done an impressive job. He'll definitely get better talent at Arkansas. Will be interesting to see how he does this year. May surprise some folks.

Bingo. He is going to be working with much more talent at Arkansas even in year one.

Right, since Arkansas fans are so reasonable in LSU threads.

Yes, you do. When you're not flaming LSU threads, you're starting new threads to flame LSU.

Just looking at the facts, it is pretty amazing what he has done with the talent level. Took over Wisconsin in 2006.

Year......Recruiting Ranking......Final Record

2006 - 40th - 12-1
2007 - 34th - 9-4
2008 - 41st - 7-6
2009 - 43rd - 10-3
2010 - 87th - 11-2
2011 - 40th - 11-3
2012 - 56th - 8-5

2013, Arkansas 26th. His highest rated class ever.

Debatable.

Maziel may be much faster, but Tebow was far, far stronger.

I can use other games, but I can't dismiss this game either. Fact of the matter is the offense can be underwhelming and stagnant, something Petrino's was not, and given Arkansas's continued inability to recruit defensive talent, in games against high quality opponents, the offense will be Arky's undoing.
